Meanwhile in an Unknown POV...
I grinned as my servant told me the job was done. He had burned the house and the people inside. It was done, now all I needed to do was get rid of two more targets. Kade and his little friend Sanity. I had carefully planned what I would do to cause their slow demise.
I would cause the end of the last of the mind controllers and flippers. As I walked through the hallways of my bunker I couldn't help but think of everything I've accomplished. Ending entire species of magic, gaining some of the most powerful magical trinkets and even gaining some respect. As of right now I was the most feared of all in the magical world, and that was something to grin about.
After checking on the progress of machine I had been working on for so long I decided to go pay a little visit to some old friends of mine.
"It's a shame they are such a long hike away..." i mumbled to myself as I trudged along a well worn pathway. I was only halfway there when I was tired enough to lean against a tree.
"Rustle rustle..." I heard tree branches shift, then "crack!" not too far away a twig cracked under the weight of somebody carelessly stepping on it. A nervous sweat broke out on my brow, there is no telling what could be out here now that it was the start dusk.
I saw a brown spot in between the leaves, I sighed in relief as the creature stepped out. His wrinkled brown skin and long talons told me that this creature was safe for me to be around. He was one of my minions, the Rake is what he answered to. I scowled, he was supposed to be back at the bunker by now.
"Rake! Why are you out still? you should have been back by now peasant! Did you even get the job done as I asked?" I screeched, I didn't like taking away my dignity by yelling but it was the only way to get myself across.
"But sir... I needed to feed, I was starving. I did get the job done sir." The mutant creature shifted, there was splashes of blood on his talons and face from his hunt. I turned up my nose in disgust, his feeding habits were never on my top ten list, but he was very reliable to be so I had to keep him.
"I must go... Kade is probably missing me enough by now. I must pay him a small visit."And so I left to finish my hike back to where Kade and Sanity were.
