It had been a few days since Jacob had spent any real time with Connie, and he knew she hadn't been herself lately. As his shift came to an end he began to make his way home, picking up a few things on his way. Glancing to his phone he saw no messages or calls, he didn't expect there to be but it didn't stop him hoping there might be.

Jacob dropped the bag onto the kitchen counter before looking around at the empty flat. Moving into the living room he sat down with the TV on but only lasted there for a matter of minutes. Standing back up he switched everything off rushing into his bedroom, throwing a few things into a bag.

Connie had been in a number off meetings all day and was sitting alone in her living room. She picked up her phone glancing through her emails before clicking onto her messages. Nothing for the last four days. They'd barely spoken at work unless it was patient related and Connie couldn't have felt worse about it.

Her thumb hovered over his name but something stopped her from calling him. Her feelings were growing for him and it wasn't something she was used to. The idea of falling for someone new scared her, and she was unsure if she would be able to tell herself it wasn't true for much longer.

"Hey Jacob!" His head shot up as he walked along the road noticing a woman he didn't recognise. "Hello?" "You don't remember me do you?" He laughed a little shaking his head. "Afraid not, sorry should I?" "Probably not, your friend said you don't go out much anymore." He frowned before things slowly added up to him. "Oh..." She nodded pushing her hair back behind her ear. "Says you've got some imaginary girlfriend-" "She isn't imaginary okay?"

The woman opposite him laughed shrugged. "Who am I to judge? Anyway I should probably let you go..." He nodded as she walked the opposite direction, a frown upon his face as he continued walking slowly. When had his life gotten so bad that he could bump into strangers in the street that he had 'met' before.

He continued towards Connie's pausing when he saw no lights on downstairs, her car not on the driveway. Sighing he wandered around the side of her house and through the gate. He was about to leave when he noticed a small flicker of light as a figure moved past the bedroom window upstairs.

Jacob went to walk to the front door before stopping, looking about the garden. Smiling to himself, he knew she would go crazy at him for this. Removing his bag he placed it down onto the floor before lifting the small patio table and bringing it closer to the house. Looking up, he stepped onto the glass careful of his step.

Reaching up, Jacob grabbed hold of the roof above the conservatory and dragged himself up. Once there he stood up walking across the roof towards the trellis that was overgrown with vines across the wall. Taking one more look up, he looked to the small balcony that led into Connie's bedroom. He gave it a pull checking it was secure enough for what he was about to do.

Connie finished removing the days makeup before undressing. She picked up the silk dressing gown sliding it on over her underwear, returning to the bathroom once again. Standing before the mirror she looked to her reflection before hearing noise from outside. With a roll of her eyes she shook her head at the stupidity of some people, thinking nothing more of it.

Crossing the room she noticed something laying on the floor beside the bed that she had missed earlier on. Bending down she picked up the note that must have fallen from somewhere. Sorry I had to go I didn't want to wake you, you looked so peaceful. Last night was perfect sweet cheeks, thank you. Jacob x

Her thumb ran over the note sighing as she remembered him staying at the weekend. She had totally missed the note, it must have fallen before she had the chance to see it. Biting the inside of her lip she picked up her phone finally calling him. It rang for a while as she sat there, waiting.

"Shit, shit, shit..." Jacob held on with one hand scrambling for his phone with the other. When he found it he pulled it out eagerly to stop the ringing. With a smirk and roll of his eyes he looked at the image of her that came up. "Sweet cheeks-" "Hey... Sorry, if you're busy I..." "You'd what?" "I don't really know." She laughed slightly as she pictured him smiling on the other end of the phone.

Connie stood up and walked across the bedroom releasing a sigh. "What's wrong sweet cheeks, you sound upset-" "It's nothing... I guess, I just wanted to see what you were doing." He scoffed, with a laugh tightening his hold on the fencing. "Funny you should ask..." Connie arched a brow when he didn't continue with any explanation.

Jacob continued climbing the wall before reaching a hand over onto the balcony edge. Placing the phone down on the floor, he climbed a little higher before pacing a foot onto the balcony moving himself over. Grabbing his phone he lifted himself over the railings. "Come to your window-" "What? Why?" "Just come..."

Pushing away from the wall she walked across to the window pulling the curtain back before letting it fall shut as she threw her phone to the bed. Unlocking the door she pushed it open as he leant backwards with a cocky grin. "Evening sweet cheeks-" "Jacob Masters what the hell are you doing!? Did you just climb on my roof?"

He smirked ready to make a comment before noticing how her dressing gown had fallen open revealing the lacy edge of her underwear. Connie glanced down before pulling her gown back across herself, her face flushing with colour as he looked back to her. "You still haven't answered my question?" "Yes I climbed your roof, but it was to see you." "There's a thing called a door, you normally walk in and out of them."

Jacob laughed before Connie shook her head resting a hand against the wall. "You could have hurt yourself-" "But I didn't." She rolled her eyes as he moved closer, taking her hands in his. "So you wanted to know if I was free tonight? Well, I'm afraid I'm a little busy tonight with this girl." "Really?" Her brow arched as she watched him amused. "Hmm... Think I could be there a while, could be late-" "That so?"

He smiled as his arms wrapped around her, her hands pressed to his chest firmly. "Jacob?" "Sweet cheeks?" "Will you shut up and kiss me now?" A smirk came to his face before he lifted her from the floor, her legs wrapping around his waist as he pushed his lips onto hers. He reached a hand backwards closing the door to her balcony before stumbling forwards to the bed, falling down with her.
