After dinner, everyone returned exhausted to the hotel. A few people remained downstairs, sitting around outside together while others went straight to sleep. Jacob walked along the path leading into the hotel beside Connie. "Are you heading up?"
Connie shrugged gently as she slipped her arm into his, leaning into him carefully. "What are you doing?" "I thought I might go for a swim." She pushed him away as he laughed walking along beside her still. "Hilarious you are." "Jacuzzi without prying eyes?"
She looked up to him with a shy smile before approaching her room. "Okay, as long as you're not too tired-" "I'm fine. You want to stay up, consider me with you." She smiled gently watching as he strolled peacefully along the corridor while she headed in changing into something more comfortable.
Connie slipped the black bikini on before pulling her silk gown over the top. Grabbing a towel she moved to the door where Jacob was already leaning, waiting for her to appear. A smile came to her lips as he looked back to her. "Sorted?" She nodded closing the door before wandering back along the corridor with him.
They stepped into the pool room throwing their things onto the side before stepping into the warm water. Jacob sat down while Connie took off the gown throwing it up to the side. "What, didn't fancy wearing it in tonight?" She smirked sarcastically at him before stepping down into the water.
She sunk down in the middle letting the water wash up over her shoulders as she shivered before enjoying the temperature of the water as it heated up. Jacob reached a hand forwards, wrapping around her waist as he drew her closer. She brushed her lips over his before looking to him.
"What?" "You really meant it earlier? That I was different." Jacob moved a hand from the water brushing her hair back. "If you ever think you're the same as all those other women out there, you're a fool." Jacob ran his thumb over her bottom lip looking between them and her eyes.
She kissed him gently, smiling against his lips before they parted. Connie sighed enjoying the temperature of the water as she remained in the water, Jacob's eyes on her the entire time. Connie moved from where she was to sit in front of Jacob between his legs. Her back lay against his chest as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
He moved his hands around her, resting them against her thighs while he moved his chin to rest on her shoulder. "What made you come down here with me the other night?" He thought for a moment before speaking quietly. "Honestly?" She nodded causing him to sigh quietly. "I wanted to get to know you, the real you. You intrigue me, and I needed to find out more about you."
"And?" "And what?" Connie leant to the side looking up at him. "And did you find out more?" "I think I found a whole other person sweet cheeks." She settled back into his chest enjoying the peaceful moment with him.
Voices from the corridor caught their attention as they pulled away from one another. Connie settled down with her back to the entrance while Jacob remained where he was. "Oh Jacob, I didn't realise anybody was down here." "It's alright Alicia..." "We'll urm, we'll go." She retreated from the room with Ethan while Jacob looked across to her.
"You think they knew it was me?" "No chance sweet cheeks, you look different with your hair back like that." He swam across towards her stopping in front. "But if it was me looking at you from behind, I'd know you from a mile away." She rolled her eyes as he smirked at her. "Spend enough time staring do you Staff Nurse Masters?" "That I do Mrs Beauchamp, but can you blame me?"
She smiled moving an arm around his neck as he drifted backwards, pulling her onto his lap as he sat back. Connie reached a hand behind her back gently pulling at the bow of her bikini strap. Jacob deepened the kiss as she let the material fall, moving it to the side as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
Running a hand up her back he pulled away, glancing down at her before raising a brow. She matched his look causing a smile to spread on his face as he pushed his lips to hers again. Connie knelt forwards deepening the kiss as Jacob's hands dropped to her hips.
Later that evening Connie stood in her cream gown staring out over the miles of gardens that stretched below. The room was dimly lit by the lamp in the corner of the room while she looked out at the dark skies. Jacob lay in the dishevelled bed turning over to find her gone. Lifting his eyes he saw her standing there somewhat conflicted.
Getting up he moved towards her, his arms moving around her waist effortlessly as they fit together. He pushed the silk from her shoulder before placing his lips to her skin, slowly moving them across to her neck. "You okay?" She nodded not moving her eyes from the window where she could now see their reflection too.
Connie released a silent sigh as she moved a hand up to her shoulder. "What happens when we leave here? Do we just forget this ever happened, pretend like we still hate each other?" Jacob scoffed causing her to turn around and face him. "I never could hate you, especially now." His hands replaced on her arms, she inhaled deeply as he looked down at her.
"You don't do relationships, I understand that. You haven't had anyone tell you how they really feel about you, I understand that. You don't think you're worthy of someone's love and commitment, I don't understand that. Connie I will never be able to get my head around how many men have messed you around. I won't be one of them. Whatever you want, whatever you need I'll do it."
She smiled gently stepping into his embrace as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'll do it because I care about you, because I want to see you happy. If that means it's only us, or if it means the world knows. As long as you're happy." Connie lifted her head from where it lay to look up at him. "You'd stay with me even if nobody knew who you'd pulled." He laughed at her wording before nodding. "If it meant I pulled you then I'd stay quiet for the rest of my life."
Connie smiled as he leant down and kissed her briefly. "Okay... Then I don't want this to stop when we get back. I want you." He was unable to stop the ridiculous smile falling to his face. "Okay, then we carry on because I want you too." Smiling into the kiss she felt his hands wrapping around her waist moving her back towards the bed once again.
