More white lights and worried whispered. Would I ever wake up to a sunny, happy day? The smell of plastic and rubbing alcohol burned my nose as my eyes open. My head pounding. Holy shit. Everything in my body hurt. Everything. Like yeah, that part to. But he couldn't of done that.

I recall my mom saying sometimes rape victims are sometimes checked for stds right away when they are found.

But he didn't do that.

Dipshits.

"Anna!" My mom cried. Her eyes red. She hugged me tight until I groaned in pain. "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine my ribs just hurt."

"No. I mean I shouldn't have left you alone. I've been so clueless. I'm a bad mother." She said, her hands covering her face.

"No you are not! You just trusted my safety to much." I reassured her.

"Well my 'little' mistake almost got you killed!" She sobbed.

"Did he, I mean they checked it he-"

"They checked, he didn't thank god." She stated. I sighed of relief. He didn't rape me.

"Mom it's okay. Really. He's gone."

"We are pressing charges, and he is going to jail for the rest of his life."

I sighed.

"Ma'am I think you should let your daughter rest. The investigators will be here shortly."

1 week later.

"Kent Braxton was charged of rape, second hand and first hand murder, and cyber bullying, which in cases he had caused teen girls to end their own life as he taunted them under fake identity when they refused to sleep with him."

"Many victims of Kent spoke out against the thirty two year old man, including a recently hospitalized teen, Anna and her best friend, Lea. Anna had actually rescued Lea from his house along with three other girls, one who didn't make it, after weeks of endless torture. Luckily he didn't rape either girls but attempted to numerous times." A picture of me and Lea appeared on the screen.

"Quite the story, Barb. And to think a friend would do something do brave just to save-" I flipped the channel to some 90's sitcom.

I lay in my hospital bed sipping a cup of green tea. I am to be released in a week.

I grabbed my new iPhone 5s, which was a present from my amazing aunt when she found out mine was shattered.

I had gotten quite a few gifts. Some fancy new oil paints from my grandma who loved to watch me decorate my art wall. Also some new brushes, which my mom had taken back to our house. She left me with a brand new sketch book and a huge pack of professional colored pencils. I recieved a new pair of toms with cat faces on the toes from my mom's friend who has a huge page on etsy where she makes custom shoes.

And my favorite, a little lucky Chinese cat charm, from Earthbound, my favorite store.

"A little more luck never hurt." She had said, but being the extremely religious person she was, practically bathed it in holy water.

"Just in case it deals with buddha." I had laughed when she said that.

Lea frequently visited. Bring a new gift everytime. Mostly cotton candy frappes or mountain dew Baha blasts. But she also brought me a shirt that said "Jesus take the wheel" with a picture of grumpy cat dressed as Jesus saying "no". She knew meme shirt were my favorite. She also brought me a custom made best friend necklace. Hers said, "There are those who think that I'm strange." And mine said "They would box me up and tell me to change." It was lyrics from our favorite song. Anchor by Mindy Gledhill. I loved it so much.
