Chapter Seven: Maybe We Could Be A Real Family Again

      Okay so today I was supposed to go back to school but thanks to a nice snow storm I got the day off. That means I had plenty of time to make a nice surprise for all of you. You'll find out what it is at the end of this chapter. Enjoy c:

      The headless horseman looked at me as if I just slapped him in the face (at the moment he does have his head on so that is actually possible). He came closer to me, examining me like a science experiment. His eyes then got wider and it looked as if he was about to cry, he then captured me in his arms and gave me the tightest hug I have ever had (even though I actually don't get hugged a lot or really ever). I was starting trying to ignore the fact that I couldn't actually breath but I felt my lungs giving out on me. That was when I had to start clawing at his back trying to gasp for air. He understood I was trying to tell him I couldn't breath and he quickly let me go and checked me over to make sure I was okay. When he finally let me breath Jeff and the others ran over making sure I was ok too. I couldn't help but try to break the awkward silence.

      "I'm so happy to finally meet you sir." Wow I sounded as if I was trying to be professional or something. I saw it kinda hurt him for me to call him sir instead of dad but I kinda thought that he would find it too earl or something to call him dad. I was taken in by some other family and I didn't start calling them mom and dad till I was 7. It took 4 years for me to stop calling them Mr. and Mrs. Jonson. i'm just not good at feeling comfortable and confident really around new people, besides Jeff and the others. Its like we're all shy together until we get mad that is.

      "I am truly happy to see you again Zendaya. I never thought I would see you again. In fact after some years I was afraid if you were dead. I couldn't live with myself to know I failed not only your mother but you too." When he mentioned my mom he looked on the verge of going into a fit of anger. I quickly came closer and hugged him, reassuring him that I was there with him alive and well. I felt him calm down and let him go."Would you like to come in and we can get more acquainted. Your friends are welcome to come too if you like." I nodded yes then looked over to see the gang all nodding yes too.

      We walked past the blown open doors and walked into what could be a ball room. He was walking toward the huge seat at the front of the ball room which I assume is his thrown. He kept walking till he went right past it. He revealed to us a secret door. When we entered it looked like a nice cozy study that any grown man would have. He took a seat on one of the couches by the fireplace that was currently lit. I walked over and sat down across from him on another couch. I could see a little more pain on his face when I did. Jeff came and sat next to me, then BEN on my other side. Masky and Hoodie sat by BEN and Eyeless Jack and Laughing Jack took seats on the ground by my feet. They practically barricaded me from the horseman, and I could kinda see why he attacked me not even 10 minutes ago.

      He cleared his troat and began to apologize for attacking me back there and I apologized also for killing pretty much his entire staff of guards. "So do you know the story or the Lost Princess or do I have to tell the tale?" I gulped and answered "Yes I know the story." when I answered I couldn't help but sound depressed when I did. I saw that this also hurt him. "So you know about all your powers?" I have more powers? "No actually, all I can really do is what I did out there a few minutes ago. I wasn't actually aware I had powers besides somehow pulling an axe out of nowhere and changing my form to what I am now (I am still in my "true" form with the rainbow eyes and stuff)." I heard him chuckle. "Oh my sweet sweet daughter you have only unlocked a part of you dark abilities, you have so man powers and abilities that it is unbelievable." Wow i'm powerful, that's gonna come in handy at school >:)

      "How come I have all these abilities?" He looked like he was waiting for me to ask that. "Well Zendaya, being the daughter of two opposite creatures let alone the strongest you gain our abilities. You gained your skills with an axe from me. Your abilitie to summon it whenever you want you also got from me. There is something that your mother gave you that proves that you really are her daughter. Your mother was a hybrid of every light creature that has ever existed. Your mother had white eyes since she was the queen of the day and everything light and bright. She is the reason why you have rainbow eyes." That took me for a shock. Just knowing hat my mother gave me my rainbow eyes make me want to show them forever and never go back to my blue eyes.

      Just when I even thought about my blue eyes I started to glow and transform back into my normal form. I saw the horseman look me over closely. "You know I remember looking into our beautiful rainbow eyes when they shifted to blue. Then the way you looked at me with your huge blue eyes. I swear I would take one look into our eyes and automatically knew to pick you up and hold you close to me. Then the last time I looked into our eyes was when I was riding away from where I had dropped you off at the orphanage. I saw your eyes grow wider than ever and start to water as you tried to reach out to me. Turning my back on you was the most hardest thing I have ever done." I looked at him and as if by some involuntary action my eyes widened and I stretched my arms out a little. I quickly realized what I was doing and put my hands back and tried to look normal, but I was too late. He saw me do this and just as fast as I put my hands back he grabbed me and hugged me tightly again. "I promise to never turn my back on you again sweetie. It breaks my still heart watching you want to be close to your own dad and not receive anything in return."

      I couldn't hold my tears back anymore and I cried into his shoulder as he hugged me and pet my hair. He pulled away slightly so that I could look at his face. "Sweetie I know I could never make up for all these years but I was hoping that you would stay here with me." I thought it over and came past a few problems. "I would love to but I don't want to be away from Jeff and everybody at Slender Mansion. Also what about my parents, well my other parents. Also what about school? I just can't stop school I have so much to learn." He saw what I was getting at and seemed to find a solution to everyone as if he knew I would say those issues. "Easy, I can have all your friends move in here with you too. As your your adoptive parents you can write a note saying you ran away then later you and your little friends can sneak in and get some of your belongings. Then for school I can call you in and say that you are going on a family vacation. You can go back to human school when you've mastered your abilities more." I thought it over and it seemed like a pretty good plan. My parents don't even know what school i'm in they didn't care enough. "Okay!" I was excited that not only will I be able to live with my dad but I also get to live with my friends and learn new things. I was so excited that I didn't have enough time to stop myself from saying,

      "Maybe we can be a real family again."

      OMG she just said that and yes the horseman heard her. Now for that surprise, since I got a snow day and I might even get one tomorrow i'm gonna give you two chapters today.
