Chapter 3: Our Biggest Mistake

I ran out the basement door, my flannel flapping through the air like a cape and I was shouting JESSE KNOX!!Then I thought "BY THE ELEVATOR!!" The elevator was where Jess was gonna be picked up by his Mom. I ran to the top floor and ran straight for the elevator. I saw him about to get in it so I shouted "HEY HOLD THE DOOR JESS!" He just let the door close without me. He was definitely embarrassed and upset but I had to at least say goodbye to him. So I ran down the stairs as fast as possible just to say something to Jess. I reached the elevator door as it my was opening revealing Jesse:

"Jesse I have to tell you something" I said.

He just pushed me out of his way and towards the door. I grasped his arm firmly to get him to answer me. But he just slapped right in the face! I sat on the ground crying and he just left, into his Mom's car without even apologizing for slapping me hard in the face with his sweaty hand! I then saw Darin walking down the hall towards me. But he started running at me with his fluffy fro flopping through the wind as he came closer. Then he approached me and saw my eye. He told me it was black and blue. I was still feeling embarrassed about crying but now I knew I had Darin to make me feel better. When I got home there'd be lots of explaining. He asked me what happened so I explained it all. After I explained Darin told me "You were just desperate for a boyfriend that's why you said yes to him." Then I realized Darin was totally right but before Darin and I could conclude our conversation, Axell came into the school.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

Axell responded with "I'm looking for Molly, I need to tell her something important and I told her to meet me here..."

"Get lost you dope!" Shouted Darin angrily

I knew that Darin was so into me, lately he's been trying to help and defend me.

"You're the real dope here Darin, Carol has a boyfriend!" Axell shouted.

Darin's pupils grew so big and his face was so red, I knew he was furious.

"I SAID GET OUT OF HERE YOU NARCISSISTIC PRICK!" screamed Darin.

"Hey Carol!" a familiar voice flared, it was Molly...

"Hi Molly" I said.

"What's going on I heard yelling from the entrance?" Molly asked.

"Molly we are fine." I said calmly.

"Don't lie!" shouted Darin

" WHAT HAPPENED?" Molly demanded

Then she paused and saw my face and jumped up to tackle Darin down to the ground.

"Why did you hurt her you jerk?!" Demanded Molly.

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" Answered Darin."

"MOLLY STOP IT, IT WAS JESSE!!" I SHOUTED.

Molly stopped right there and got up also helping Darin up.

"WHERE IS HE, I'LL MAKE SURE HE NEVER LIVES TO SEE YOU AGAIN!?!!" Molly screamed.

"No." I said as calm as possible.

"Never hurt my beautiful angel hunk ever!" I said, I needed to keep my cool because I only blamed myself for what happened to my face.

"Excuse me?" said Molly.

"No one can hurt him, it's my fault." I said.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!" Darin said, "it's was all Jesse trust me."

"No I got him upset because I let Darin see us like that." I said solemnly.

"No actually it's my fault Carol, I walked in to get my hat." Darin said sadly.

"Yeah you jerk, it's your fault!" Molly said accusingly.

"STOP!" Axell shouted.

"I didn't call you here Molly to bicker with Darin and Carol." Axell said.

"Then what did you want with me then Axell?" Molly asked.

"I wanted to tell you I want to be with you, I LOVE YOU!" Axell said

"I ALREADY TOLD YOU!, I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOU AXELL!!" Molly screamed.

"Oh." Axell looked shocked as he said this.

"I meant it when I sent it to you, not as a joke." Molly said.

Then Axell curled up into a ball on the floor and started crying...

"What a Wimpy Losssssssseeeeeeerrrrr!" Shouted Darin, as he repeatedly kicked Axell in the stomach.

"DARIN, THAT'S ENOUGH!" Mr. Bucke, RedRidges's Vice Principal shouted as he approached us...
