Sylis POV
I gently laid the boy down in the six foot grave, his pale skin clashing against the dark brown dirt. Despite the blood that decorated his body he looked happy, at peace. His eyes now shut, never to open and witness the horrors of this world again.
I pulled myself from the depths of the grave before dusting my hands off and grabbing the shovel. I gave the body one last glance before beginning to bury it.
"Sylis stop...." a heavenly feminine voice whispered softly in my ear.
I jerked my head to the side, searching for the source of the voice. Finding nobody I grunted shaking my head before continuing my work.
"Stop." The voice snapped, my body involuntarily locking in place.
A growl erupted from deep within my chest, anger beginning to course through my veins.
"Silence." The feminine voice commanded, my growling ceasing. "How dare you growl at me. Your creator." She hissed anger seeping through every word.
Moon Goddess.
"Yes I am the Moon Goddess." She said, her voice returning to a soft whisper." Tell me Sylis, what is wrong with him? What is the imperfection that made you reject him? Or is there a more personal matter?" She asked.
My mate should be a strong and independent woman. He is a male, nothing but a weak pup. A disgusting omega. He's covered in scars, he has the mind of a two year old. He can't even form a full sentence. I sneered mentally
"You're lying." She whispered darkly in my ear." You don't care about those things. Tell me what it really is. Tell me what drove you to reject him." She hissed softly.
Those are the reasons. I hissed.
Pain erupted in my skull, a scream stuck in my throat.
"Tell me Sylis." She growled as the pain slowly intensified.
Those. Are. The. Reasons. I growled.
I wanted to scream as the pain intensified. I could feel her poking around my head, searching for the reason she so desperately wanted to find.
"I see." She hummed with a soft giggle. "You don't need to be worried about your imperfections. He will love you anyway Sylis." She whispered.
I nearly stumbled as I regained control of my body, a gasp slipping past my lips as I gulped in air. Just as I started to regain my composure, a strangled gasp echoed through the air followed by a petrified whine. My gaze snapped to the boy in the grave, his eyes wide with panic looking up at me. I could see the tears forming in his eyes as he struggled beneath the dirt a panicked and hoarse cry leaving his lips.
I watched him, I watched as the panicked gaze in his green eyes slowly turned to one of hurt and realization. He stopped struggling tears beginning to slip down his cheeks as he cried out his sorrow. His wails echoing through the night sky, as my grip on the shovel tightened.
"Oh my Goddess!" The Lunas worried gasp pierced my ears. "Sylis what the hell?!" She growled in anger as she quickly began digging the boy up from his grave with her bare hands.
"M-mate bury At-atticus l-live." He whispered in a broken voice." M-mate n-no l-love At-atticus. A-atticus w-want ba-back mommy! L-lets At-atticus goes ba-back to m-mommy!" He sobbed in a panic.
"Sylis help me!" The Luna said frantically." Please!" She begged.
I loosened my grip on the shovel, letting it drop to the ground before sitting on the edge of the grave and watching the Luna dig up the boy. Soon the Alpha came rushing in, his eyes wide with horror as he looked at the scene before him.
The Alpha jumped into the grave next to his mate and helped her dig out the omega. The boy then screamed bloody murder as the Luna and Alpha placed their hands on his bare arms, pulling him out of the dirt. They gently laid him on the ground running their hands all over his bare arms and face.
"You're hurting him." I said in a bored tone with a hint of amusement." He's suffering from the effects of rejection. Any touch that isn't his mates hurts him." I said before standing on my feet and brushing the dirt off my pants.
I chuckled as they quickly stopped touching him, the omegas body trembling in pain. Those piercing green eyes settled on me, and all I could do was smile as I waved a goodbye before turning on my heels.
"Stop." Alpha Eric growled, his voice filled with anger.
I growled at the command, my hands slowly curling into tightly clenched fists.
"Do not command me Eric." I hissed.
"You are not the alpha. You are the head warrior of my pack. You do as I say and if I say stop you stop." He snapped.
I growled, my body beginning to shake with anger.
"I don't have time to fight with you Sylis. Now get over here and help us." He snarled
Scowling I turned around and stalked over to the mates that stood crowded around the omega.
"What would you like me to do your highness." I said in a fake cheery voice, plastering a fake smile on my face.
"Don't be a smartass. We need to get him somewhere comfortable and out of the cold. So pick him up and follow me." He commanded.
I growled, giving the Alpha a glimpse of my teeth as I bent down and picked up the sobbing boy. Atticus gasped, tensing in my arms as his glossy eyes sparkled in the moon light.
"M-mate fe-feel nice." He whispered to himself his voice still hoarse and broken.
"Don't get used to it you pest." I snapped.
He whimpered and hung his head low making me smirk, my triumph was short lived as I felt a hand slap me in the back of the head causing me to snarl and look at the the glaring Luna.
"Leave him alone and don't growl at me you pup." She snapped walking in front of me.
