Atticus POV

When I woke up the bed was empty.

I sat up, my eyebrows furrowing together in confusion as I looked around the room trying to find Sylis.

"Looks like he left you." The voice chuckled.

"No. Sylis no do it." I said shaking my head.

"Oh but he did Atticus. You're so stupid to think he actually wanted you. After all he's done to you? He's a disgusting creature that will never love you. I guess you both have one thing in common though. You're both a disgrace to the werewolf community." It said in disgust.

"Sylis no icky! Atticus icky." I argued, tears building in my eyes." Atticus bad. At-atticus try good mate. Atticus never good. Bad all time. At-atticus try perfect for sylis. Atticus bad, no deserve sylis. Atticus ugly. Sylis no need icky Atticus. Atticus need die. Luna, Alpha, an Sylis better without Atticus." I sobbed pushing myself out of the bed.

Tears streamed down my face as I walked to the door, picking my bear up on the way.

"Atticus love Sylis." I whispered opening the bedroom door only for it to be pushed shut by a hand.

"Where do you think you're going?" Sylis asked, his lips brushing against the shell of my ear with every word.

"Sy-sylis leave Atticus. V-voice say Atticus disgrace. Sa-say Sylis no love Atticus, say Sylis says lies Atticus." I whimpered, my knees trembling as I bit back a sob.

"I didn't leave you Atticus." Sylis said turning me around, his hair damp and water droplets rolling down his face, dripping off his nose, and standing in nothing but a towel." I was in the shower. I heard you crying so I came to check on you only to find you trying to leave. I am never going to leave you. I promise. Don't listen to the voice, it has been telling you lies for far too long. It's time for me to tell you the truth. You're are not pathetic. You are strong, so strong. You're stronger than me Atticus. You are not icky. You are adorable, especially when you smile and your little dimples show. You are not ugly. You are beautiful on the inside and out. Those scars show that you didn't give up, you kept going no matter what the Goddess threw at you. And lastly you are mine." He growled huskily, pushing me against the door and letting his lips hover mine.

"Atticus are icky." I gulped, tears still rolling down my face as my nails dug into the palms of my hand. "Atticus not deserving Sylis. Deserve pain. Atticus do bads. Lot bads." I whimpered.

"Why do you think you deserve so much pain?" He asked barely above a whisper, holding my head in his hands as his golden orbs locked with my green ones.

"Atticus pack dead cause Atticus. Carlisle dead. Mommy dead. Daddy dead. All Atticus do's. Bad uppies attack. Mommy, Daddy, Atticus, an Carlisle hide in secret hidey. Atticus cry loud. Atticus scared bad uppies. Bad uppies listen Atticus cry. Bad uppies get in secret hidey. D-dadd-daddy hit bad uppies. Bad uppies scratchies Daddy neck. Daddy fall down. No gots up." I sobbed, the memories hitting me full force." Mom-mommy change uppy. Bad uppies turn mommy face. Mommy crack and fall down. Mommy no gots up, red fell mommy's nose. Car-carlisle hit bad uppies. Bad uppies scratches Carlisle tummy. Icky stuff falled outs Carlisle tummy. Ca-carlisle pushes Atticus downs. Carlisle falled on Atticus. Bad uppy scratches Carlisle. Say Atticus bastard. Say Atticus no be happy evers. V-voice cames Atticus in cell. Says Alpha right. Atticus fault. All Atticus!" I sobbed my knees buckling beneath me.

Sylis caught me in his arms, slowly lowering us to the floor and pulling me into his lap. I sobbed, burying my face in his nape and wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Shh b- Atticus. Listen to me okay? That was not your fault. None of that was your fault. You are not a bastard and you don't deserve any pain. You're a good boy Atticus. You're a good, good boy. It's okay. It's okay now. I'm here. It's going to be okay." He cooed, rocking me gently as we sat in the floor.

Tears streamed down my cheeks, my body jerking as my hiccups mixed with my sobs.

"Calm down Atticus. Breathe. Breathe with me okay?" He said softly in my ear.

"Breathe in." He cooed.

I copied him as he took in a deep breath, his hand slowly rubbing my back in attempt to help me calm down.

"Out. " He said breathing out, his breath fanning my ear.

I let out the breath I'd been holding, earning praise from him as I did so. We repeated the process over and over again.

"Good Atticus. Good boy." Sylis said softly, kissing my forehead as I laid in his arms breathing normally with only a few stray tears falling down my cheeks.

Slowly he stood to his feet, holding me in one arm as he used his free hand to hold up his towel. Slowly he walked to the bed, climbing on and laid us down. He held me close to his chest, gently running his thick fingers through my tousled locks of hair. I practically was laying on top of him, his chest under my head. I could hear him breathing, a steady thump mixing with the sound.

"Thump. Thump." I whispered, laying my hand on the spot where the noise emitted from.

The sound slowly lulled me to sleep, my eyes lids becoming heavy.

"That's my good boy. You're so strong." Sylis cooed, his hand skimming across my cheek as I drifted to sleep, my face resting on white scratches that ran across the tan skin.
