Sylis POV
Trembles ripped through his small frame as he sobbed as quietly as he could. His arms shaking as they held me tightly to him.
"At-atticus no's do's. No's reject Sy-sylis." He cried, his tears dripping of his jaw and onto my shoulder.
"You ha-have to Atticus." I whispered. "Its the only thing that can make me better." I explained to him gently and hoping the agony I felt didn't come through my voice.
He let out a harsh sob, small body shaking with every exhale if breath. He quickly moved his head from side to side, shaking his head no. He was refusing the truth.
"I know Atticus. I know you don't want too, but it's better this way. I won't be hurting and you won't be suffering from watching me suffer. I know you think you'll be alone but you won't be. You'll have Eric and Jackie." I paused as the next few words caught in my throat, refusing to pass my lips." Y-youll even have Alpha Lennon. He will make you forget all about me. He'll make you happy. You can live happily ever after with him." I said, pulling away and cupping his faceas tears slowly slid down my cheeks.
"No's." He argued. "Atticus no's wants Al-alpha Lemmon. Wants Sylis." He pushed, his eyebrows scrunching together in anger. "Atticus want Sylis!" He yelled at me, his hands going into his head to tuck at his locks.
"Don't Atticus. Don't hurt yourself." I pleaded, unbinding his fists from his hair.
The room fell into silence, tears slowly slipping down both of our faces. I could see Atticus still trying to think of a solution, his mind tuning a mile a minute behind those green orbs.
He doesn't understand that there's a difference between love and not wanting to be alone. The true reason he's fighting against rejecting me is because he doesn't want to be alone. I am the one to blame for the multiple times he's almost died, yet he doesn't remember that. He remembers that I was there and that I'm his mate therefore I am the savior. He doesn't remember the others that surrounded him. He doesn't realize he was never alone.
He doesn't realize this because he doesn't trust anyone. He doesn't trust me, Jackie, or Lennon. He doesn't even trust Eric.
"Mark." He whispered softly, my heart sinking to my stomach as he said it. "M-mark Atticus." He said softly, his pleading eyes locking with mine.
"Atticus, no. You do-"
"P-please. Wants. Atticus wants. Atticus wants Sylis. Atticus lovies Sylis. " he begged, resting his forehead against my chest and wrapping his slinder arms around me as he cried.
"Atticus this is serious. It isn't something you can decide impulsively like this. You have to mean it. I don't think you understand that once we do that there's no going back. For me to make you, it means you want to be with me forever. It means our souls will for ever and always be bound together. There's no changing it." I explained softly, stressing how serious the situation is.
"That's wants. Atticus that's wants." He sobbed
It was getting to the point where it was hard to understand him. The worse he panicked, the worse his speech became.
"Atticus, this is too impulsive. I don't think you are ready fo-"
"Please." He whimpered as he looking into my eyes.
My heart squeezed as I looked deep into thosepools of green. He was breaking inside. He didn't know what to do. He was so hurt and lost he didn't know what to do. This was his only solution and he was sticking to it.
"Atticus, are you positive you want to do this?" I asked, searching his face for any form of uncertainty.
The more I searched, the more seperate I was to find something. I didn't want him to regret anything. To my disappointment I found nothing.
