Staring down at him, I thought after everything I would be able to do it. To stab this dagger right through his heart. Seeing him just laying there not fighting back, my hands began trembling. My mind went back to just an hour ago, his body on top of me. The way he looked at me, For just a minute, he didn't look evil and full of hate but soft and gentle. I dropped the dagger, I felt sick to my stomach. Spikes eyes opened as the metal bounced off the floor, the sound echoed through the bars and off the walls of Spikes large bedroom. The moon bounced off his dark eyes that stared up at me. At first he seemed surprised but that was over quickly as a devilish grin spread across his face. The anger within me, rose up my throat like vomit. My eyes burned with tears, "Your life matters too." I choked out. Was this my ultimate test in life to forgive him? He threw me back and forced his lips onto mine. No longer strong enough to struggle, I almost felt myself melting in his kiss. He pulled back and I felt a sharp burn across my face. I placed my hand over my cheek in surprise. Spike slapped me! He stared at me his eyes a blazed with fire. "you should have killed me when you had the chance." He licked his lips and stood up. He bent over as he picked up the jacket he took off earlier and his dagger. My body seemed shocked into a frozen state, watching as he walked out the cage and closed the door behind him. "You did try to kill me," he said over his shoulder, "don't look at me with those big sad eyes." He walked out the room whistling. He was right, should I be mad? He pretty much woke up to me contemplating whether I should kill him. I accept this consequence, I nodded. But as far as being locked in an over-sized bird cage, I huffed out frustratingly while throwing my pillows at the bars, why this!? Spike was right maybe I should have killed him, how many would I have saved over his death... I dropped my head in my hands. I'm weak.

I woke up to the sound of wolves howling in the distance, the search party I thought as they spoke to each other through their howls. Only if they could come rescue me too, I sighed. The sun peaked faintly through Spikes windows. It felt as if this territory never got enough sun. Feeling my hairs raising, I looked over to see Spike watching me. He smiled, "good morning sunflower." He said tauntingly. I rolled my eyes to the ground, "If I was a sunflower, I'd die from lack of sun exposure." I grumbled. He chuckled, "Someone's getting cheeky, been here too long?" It felt like there was a lightness to his energy today. "What kind of question is that?" I turned my back to him. I should have killed him; how can I continue with my beliefs if at this moment I have been failed. I've sent out nothing but good and here I am a hostage in a huge bird cage stored in a psychopath's bedroom, I should have killed him.

"Why are you mad at me, it looks like we had a fun night." His breath tickled the back of my neck.

I jumped up surprised, how did he get in here so quickly! I stepped back nervously of what he had hiding up his sleeve.

"Could we play again? A morning quickie?!" He seemed to beg.

I stared at him suspiciously, how could he be begging when the whole reason he passed out last night was because of the overload, unless, I fell back over my bed at the realization, "You." I sneered the Spike look alike, he almost drank me dry last time.

He smiled, "You can't still be mad at me can you?"

I pointed at him accusingly, "You tried to kill me! I've do..."

"You've done nothing to me" He finished with a smiled, "and OBVIOUSLY, I wasn't trying to kill you. In fact, you led me to you... I could have gone on my merry way if I wasn't sidetracked. Can you blame me."

"Yes!" I snapped, "Who forcefully takes peoples blood without permission?"

He shrugged, "Vampires" He snatched my hand and pulled it close to him pulling my body along seemingly effortlessly. He rubbed his cheek against my wrist and smiled up at me. "You can forgive me, can't you?"
