"Die." I whispered, slashing the blade swiftly across his chest. He cried in pain, crippling to the ground. "Y-you..." Claude coughed, still struggling to clutch the flesh he no longer had. I leaned down. "What about me?" Claude lifted his head in defiance. With that, he slumped over, his face pushing against my bloodied jeans. I scoffed at him, kicking the cold face back into what was left of the snow.

     I turned back to my lover. I wish I could see her smile again. I want to see the warmth in her eyes, the kindness in herself. I picked Yellow up bridal-style, and carried her deep into the woods. Far away from the bloodshed and pain. Far away from...
