***Blake's POV***

"Yeah, I'm fine," Drew smiled.

"Ok, man. Just making sure," I smiled again.

I walked back into the living room area.

Anthony was sitting on the couch, texting Helena.

I chuckled and shook my head, "Dude, I can't believe you got her number."

He smirked, "What can I say? I've just got a way with the ladies!"

I shook my head at him again.

Anthony's so weird.

"Oh, shut up! You don't even like girls!" he smirked, throwing a pillow at me.

I caught it out of the air before it touched me.

Yay, cat reflexes!

"Hush!" I yelled, "I don't want Drew to know I'm gay," I whispered.

He wiggled his eyebrows at me, "Why? Do you think he's cuuuuute?"

I turned beet red.

He is pretty cute.

I threw the pillow back at him.

"Shut up, Anthony."

***insert le massive time skip***

I took my phone off the charger.

"Blake, Drew, I'm leaving!" Anthony yelled from the living room.

I pulled on my Batman SnapBack and walked out of the bedroom.

Drew was sitting on the couch, staring blankly at his phone.

Anthony was standing by the door with his suitcase.

It was Christmas break and we were all going to go visit our families.

"Later, Anthony!" I shouted, running over to hug him.

Drew looked up and waved.

Anthony pulled on his sunglasses and very seriously said, "Catch ya on the flip-side, motherfuckers."

I burst out laughing as he walked out the door.

Only Anthony.

Anthony had become my best friend throughout the semester.

Drew had slowly gotten worse, he talked less and didn't socialize at all. He was happy and bubbly at the beginning of the year, but something must've happened, because all that was in his beautiful eyes now was sadness.

I had slowly, but surely developed a crush on him. A big crush.

I tried so hard to make him happy again, but every time I talked to him he looked more depressed.

It broke my heart.

Anthony had left to see his mom and dad in California.

Leaving me alone with Drew.

"Hey," I said, sitting next to him on the couch.

He looked up and faintly smiled, then returned his attention to his phone.

I chuckled, "Having fun on that?"

He nodded.

I leaned closer and whispered, "Then maybe you should turn it on."

His cheeks flushed bright red and he unlocked his phone.

Aww! He's so cute when he blushes!

My phone started ringing.

I sighed and walked into the kitchen.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Blake?"

It was my dad.

"Hey, dad."

"What time are you coming home? Your mother wants to know what time to make dinner."

I rolled my eyes.

Of course, he only needed something that simple.

"I don't know. Soon?"

"Ok. See ya then, son."

"Bye, dad."

"Goodbye, Blake."

I turned and saw that Drew was no longer on the couch.

"Drew?" I called out.

There was no response.

I walked into the hallway.

Not here.

Luckily, my ears caught some noises coming from the bedroom.

I silently crept towards the door.

I listened.

I heard quiet sobbing coming from inside the room.

Did you hear that? That was the sound of my heart snapping in half.

I reached for the handle and opened the door.

Drew was lying face down in his pillow.

I walked over to him.

I was about to pull him in for a hug, when suddenly a wave of insecurity came over me and I slowly backed out of the room.

I sat back down on the couch and buried my face into a pillow.

"Why am I such a wimp?" I mumbled rhetorically.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, signifying I had a text.

From: Harper

Hey, when are you getting home?

I sighed.

From: Blake

I'm leaving now. Be there in half an hour.

I put my phone back in my pocket and walked back to the bedroom.

I knocked a few times.

"Yeah?" I heard Drew sniffle.

I walked in and picked up the stuff I was bringing back home.

"Um, I have to go now," I said, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly.

He stood up and waved.

I gave him the You're-Not-Serious-Right? look.

I walked over to him and engulfed him in a hug.

He returned it and we stood like that for a few moments.

I pulled away and looked into his beautiful orange eyes.

"If you need anything, anything at all, I'm just a phone call away," I whispered.

He nodded and I walked to the front door.

"See ya, Drew," I smiled.

"See ya, Blake," he smiled back.

Omg, that was a genuine smile! Maybe after some family time, he'll be back to normal.

That would be awesome.
