Rising up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

You closed your eyes as your fists sunk into the punching bag, bandages helping slightly with the pain. You remembered your high school days when you let your bullies walk all over you like a doormat as Survivor began to play your favorite song that was featured in Rocky III.

You remembered the day that your best friend almost got hurt because of your willingness to forgive and forget. That was the last straw. You had gotten four weeks of detention, and you kept silent every time Mr. Mackey interrogated you as to why you had broken the legs of your bullies.

You chuckled almost unconsciously at the memory of their faces as you stomped on them, warning them not to mess with your loved ones again.

So many times it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

"Leave me and my friends alone. Promise?" Your foot pressed down on Clyde's chest.

"Yes, w-w-we promise!"

You remember, later in your high school years, Stan and Kyle begging for your help to save them from Trent Boyett, you remembered separating the fight between Tweek and Craig and leaving unscathed.

"Why do you stick up for them?"

You turned, surprised by his question. "Pardon?" You asked, knowing perfectly well what he said.

Trent's almost amused expressed turned cruelly stoic. "Didn't he dump you? He did, didn't he? Do you feel like you owe him something?" He asked blankly. "Or, maybe, just maybe, you're clinging to the idea that your ex-boyfriend, the boy who broke your heart and then avoided you like the plague, still loves you-"

A thwack, and a snap.

What? Oh, that's the sound that you heard when your fist met Boyett's face in an uppercut, breaking his jaw and teaching him never to mess with you or your friends. Ever. Again.

No matter what happened to him, his words remained with you ever since, and haunted you in your dreams.

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the eye of the tiger

You were a violent sort of person sometimes. You usually came off as a quiet, shy girl who loved reading, sweaters too big for her, and hot chocolate in the wintertime. No, no, of course you loved those things, but the people who didn't know you well didn't know that you loved violent action movies, the Walking Dead, Attack on Titan and the like.

Not many people put two and two together or acknowledged that the girl at the park who kicked trees, ran the track, and practiced wrestling on weekends was the same girl as the shy, introverted bookworm who frequented South Park High's library.

Embarrassing memories were few, for you. You remembered one time when your friend Hylian said that you had been saying "whoosh, whoosh" in your sleep at a slumber party between the two of you, and you explained that you'd been practicing fighting trees in your dream.
