I was frozen with fear. It was the same voice I heard that night before camping. The same voice I herd in the car. The same voice, crying in the wind yesterday... " W - Who are you?" I stuttered, fear shaking in my voice. A swift breeze ruffled my untidy hair. I turn and let out a scream at the sight before me. It was a ghost. A little transparent girl was floating in mid air, wearing a dress and shoes. "Come" she said, though I could hardly hear her. I stumble after her as she floated away, carried by the wind. It was pitch black, my only guidance the silvery figure several meters ahead. After what seemed like years, we arrived at a clearing. The clouds move away from the moon, allowing the clearing to be bathed in silver light. I gasp. It was the billabong.
"The..... the billabong!" I exclaim. I rush to the edge and lower my head, taking long gulps of the fresh water. It was ice cold, but I didn't care. I was still soaked through. I notice the fire didn't touch this place. Strange. First I meet some ghost, then I notice the fire hasn't burned here... "I protected it" the ghost girl whispers. I turn around, looking at the young girl's face. " I protected it from the fire." She mentioned again. I was surprised... at first. It was only after a matter of time before I realised she was a ghost and probably had some sort of power. Ok, I really need to know if I'm dreaming. I pinch myself, and hard. Ow! Oh no, this isn't a dream... I decide to ask the girl who she is. Maybe she is someone who can help me. Once again, I ask her. This time, she replies. " I am Ann."
