Three months later, Arvid II, arrived at the court of Silvana. As the head of state he received homage from the army and court civilians. Silvana send Dagmar to entertain Arvid II. Arvid II, also called, Joran, never knew who Dagmar actually was. He never saw her nor was he introduced to her. He didn't knew that it was the conspirator against his own father that he slept with. Joran remained two months in Caledoni and he traveled around the country. He met with several clan leaders and made deals with them in exchange for loyalty. Dagmar would frequently serve as his surrogate wife. After his trip through Caledonia was over, he left Dagmar behind at Silvana and he traveled towards London to meet with the Roman governor.
While Joran remained there, Dagmar found out she was pregnant. Silvana was alarmed by this. She ordered Dagmar to remain silent about it. Joran traveled through Roman Britain with the Roman officials as part of a diplomatic visit. After four months in Britain he returned back to Scandinavia. He only learned that he was to become a father when the child was already born. Dagmar was confused by the birth of her son. Arvid visited Caledonia again to see his child. This time Silvana consummated their marriage because she longed for a child of her own. A week later she compelled her husband to keep Dagmar, whom she called Lydia, as a concubine. Silvana didn't reveal her identity unto Joran. This way Dagmar ended up again at the Scandinavian court. After arrival she became pregnant again and gave birth to a daughter, while Silvana gave birth to a son, who was now Joran's heir. Dagmar, now called Lydia, hid her grey hairs by dying her hair red. Dagmar had received a change to start over again. To leave her past behind. This time, she chose to go for it!
