Decisions - Jenson Button

After a very, very long and exhausting day, you finally arrive home. You are extra excited, knowing that your boyfriend, Jenson, will be home. He isn't home much, so when he is, you are very happy.

You walk into the living room, finding Jenson on the couch, deep in thoughts. You walk over to him. He hasn't even noticed you. There must be something important on his mind. You sit down next to him on the couch, pulling him out of his thoughts. His smile widens when he sees you. He immediately puts his arm around you and pulls you into him, kissing your head.

You rest your head against his chest, putting one arm around him.

"How was work?" he asks you. You sigh before explaining everything to him.

"It was awfull. First of all, I got stuck in traffic so I was late. My boss yelled at me for being late but it wasn't even my fault! Then, various employees were sick, so he wanted me to do their work and it was a lot! I didn't even have lunch break and I'm exhausted now" you say. When you don't get an answer, you look up to find Jenson off in his thoughts again. You poke his rib, which causes him to look at you.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Y/N" he says, sounding very tired himself.

"What's wrong, Jens?" you ask him.

"I've just been thinking about something for a while now, but it's a hard decision and I don't want to make the wrong one" he says, worrying you.

"Do you want to talk about it?" you ask him. He looks down at you and sighs.

"I'm thinking about stopping with racing" he says, very softly. It's almost a whisper. It takes you a few seconds before you realize what he just said.

"Well. That is indeed a hard decision. All I can say is follow your heart. You've been doing this for a while now, but I can imagine it having pro's and cons" you say.

"I just want to be able to spend some more time with you and our families. Maybe even starting a family ourselves" he says, kissing your head once again. You tighten your grip on him. You like the sound of that, starting a family of your own with him. But you don't  want to encourage him to stop doing what he loves.

"We can start a family any way, wether you stop or not. I just want you to know that I support your decision, whatever it is" you say and kiss his jawline. You feel him shiver, making you smile.

"I love you, Y/N" he says to you. You lean up to him and kiss him.

"I love you, too"
