Carlisle had left for work by the time Constance had finished getting ready. Alice had picked out so many outfits, she was getting dizzy just looking at them all hanging in her closet. So, she picked out a more casual outfit for the day. Sauntering down the stairs, Constance spots Jacob and Renesmee playing on the carpeted floor. She watches for a moment, sitting down on the stairs and looking at them through the bars of the staircase. They really seemed to have a connection and it warmed her heart. Jacob sensed a presence and quickly looked over at Constance before flashing her a smile. "You are welcome to join us, Connie." Jacob states, patting a place on the floor next to him. A little embarrassed that she was caught spying, Constance stands up and nods, a grin playing on her lips as Renesmee smiles at her. God, she was so adorable. She sat down between Jacob and Nessie, looking between the two. "So, what's a usual day for you two?" Constance asks casually. Jacob glances at Renesmee before looking at Constance. "Well we usually hang out all day, pretty much. Until Bella and Edward decide they want some time with her." He says a bit jokingly. Constance chuckles, her eyes sparkling as she shakes her head. "You two are close, yes?" She asks, cocking an arched brow at him. "Very." Jacob states, pulling Nessie into his lap, causing her to giggle and hug him tightly. "That must be nice." Constance mumbles, her eyes flashing with a bit of sadness. Carlisle had been the first person to hug her in years. She remembered the feeling...savoring it. Alice suddenly appears in front of Constance, hands behind her back. Constance's, gasps and places a hand over her chest. "Goodness, Alice. You scared the sh-" she looks over at Nessie. "Crap. You scared the crap out of me." She continues slowly, biting her lip as her eyes move from Nessie to Alice. "You should be scared! Carlisle...forgot his lunch!" She exclaims, trying to think of something that could get Constance to visit Carlisle at work. Alice knew that since they didn't eat, he wouldn't need a lunch. But Constance didn't know that. Carlisle would know that it was Alice's crafty work and would play along. A victorious smirk crossed her features as Constance began to look concerned. "Oh...would you like me to run it to him?" She asks, furrowing her brows and tilting her head. "Yes! What a wonderful idea!" She says dramatically. Alice quickly gets into the kitchen, and using her vampire speed, she makes a random sandwich and throws it in a paper bag. "Here! This is it!" She cries, pushing it to Constance. "Oh alright I'll be back-" Alice held Constance at arms length and clicked her tongue as she looked over her. "You are wearing that?" She questions, raising a brow. "A little frumpy...maybe we could-" Constance sighs and shakes her head. "Alice, its fine. I promise. It's not like I'm going on a date." She states with a chuckle, turning and walking towards the door. "Hey! Catch!" Alice calls, tossing the keys to her car. Constance turns and they smack her on the chest. Because, let's be honest, Constance doesn't have the best reflexes. "Ouch." She mutters, picking them up before shoot Alice a mock glare.

Climbing into the car, she prays to the Heavenly Father that she wouldn't get in another wreck. "Okay, big man, upstairs. Cut me a little slack." She mutters, starting the engine and buckling her seatbelt quickly. She sets the paper bag down at her side and cautiously pulls out of the snowy driveway. She turned on the radio and a grin spread across her face at the song. This song had to be one of her favorites.
"He was a famous trumpet man from out Chicago way.
He had a boogie style that no one else could play.
He was the top man at his craft,
but then his number came up and he was gone with the draft.
He's in the army now. He's blowin' reveille.
He's the boogie woogie bugle boy of company B."
She sings, mocking the old fashioned voice on the radio. She gripped the wheel and turned into the hospital once she had driven a bit. She parked and quickly grabbed the bag before jumping out of the car and walking inside to the front desk. "Hello, I'm here to give Doctor Cullen his lunch." A blonde nurse sat the station, looking over the woman suspiciously. "Really? Well whatever kind of 'made with love' sandwich you got for him, will just have to wait." She states, her eyes cold. Women came into the hospital all the time, trying to get an excuse to see Doctor Cullen. This nurse just assumed Constance was one of them. "No but-" "Sorry, sweetheart. You are welcome to leave at anytime." She interrupts, filing her nails.
Carlisle could smell his mate from down the hall, so he stood up and peeked out of his office door. Why was she here? It made his nervous to think that something else could have happened to her. He was relieved to see that she was alive and well, standing at the counter. ALICE. Carlisle chuckled, actually happy that Alice sent her. When he saw the way that the nurse treated Constance, he quickly stalked down the hall, wrapping his arm around Constance's narrow shoulders. "Please, there is no need to interrogate her. Constance is my friend." Carlisle states with a tight lipped smile, squeezing her shoulders as they turn to walk to his office. "So, why did Alice send you in?" He asks bluntly, opening the office door and walking inside. He releases her and sits down casually in his chair. "Oh...well she said that you forgot your lunch." Constance says, a small blush on her cheeks as she holds up the bag. His golden eyes move the the bag and a lopsided smile spreads across his face. "Of course." He states calmly, playing along. "Thank you, dear. Would you like to stay a while?" He asks, raising a brow and motioning for her to sit on the small love-seat that sat across from his desk. "Sure...as long as you don't mind too much. I don't want to distract you." She says, scratching the back of her neck sheepishly. "I insist. Please sit." He remarks graciously, motioning to the seat. Constance flashes a smile at him and sits comfortably on the sofa. "Would you like a book to read? Alice always leaves them in here when she comes to visit." He asks, holding up a random story book that laid on his desk. "Yes, thank you. I promise I won't distract you from your work." She comments, taking the large book an laying across the couch lazily. "That is highly doubtful the way that you look today." He mutters, although he knew Constance couldn't hear.
Carlisle got back to work, filling out things on his computer. Constance found her way to hand upside down on the couch, her hair falling to the ground. Carlisle couldn't help but let his eyes draw over to her, a grin spreading across his face. She looked amazing...so beautiful. Her hair pushed away from her face, her glasses awkwardly sitting on her nose as she read intently. Her long legs sticking up against the wall...the very tops of her breasts hanging from her sweater. He ran his tongue across his lips, eyes lustful. He could just eat her up. His fangs nicked at his lips and he quickly looked away. Control. He had to have control. But he wasn't sure how much longer that could last.
