Constance shut the door to her truck, walking around to her gas tank. She was already about two hours from Forks, placing the nozzle into her car. "Drink up, bud. We have a long drive ahead of us." She mutters, running her hand through her thick brown hair. Her tired body leans against her vehicle with arms crossed. She scans the thick tree line surrounding the old gas station that was just off one of the back roads she was taking. Nobody else occupied the station and it was eerily quiet as she stood there with a chill.
"Help! Please, I can't find my dog! He ran off on a trail in the forest!" A woman cries, emerging from the woods and panting. Constance takes a curious look at the pale woman, eyebrows furrowed. "Ma'am...? Are you alright?" Constance asks, concerned but also weirded out. "Oh please, just come with me and help me find my dog." She begs, taking Constance's hand in her cold one and tugging her towards the greenery.

Pause.

Now Constance being a semi intelligent adult knew that she was probably about to get freaking murdered in those woods. But the off chance that there was a poor dog in need of her assistance, kind off put her off a bit.

Play.

"Oh um...okay but only for a few minutes." Constance says quickly, dragging her feet as the red haired woman pulls her onto the wooded trail. After a few minutes of walking, Constance looked around at their surroundings. "Lady? Is this where you lost your dog?" Constance asks hesitantly. The woman slowly turns around, a sudden chill in the air. Wind rushed through the evergreen needles of the forest, the scent of bark and sap wafting up her nose. When Constance saw the face of the woman, she gasped in surprise. The brown eyes she had before were replaced with blood red irises. "Holy-" Constance is cut off as the woman smiles at her with sharp fangs prodding out. "Something like that, dear." She says before a blindfold is suddenly put over Constance's eyes. Her wrists were bound by rough hands as she struggled against the body. "Put her in the van, David. Esme will be pleased that we have finally found her." The red haired freaky woman says. Esme? Who is Esme? Before Constance could scream, the pressure of the man holding her wrists was released. She hears sounds of a struggle and stands fearfully at the sound of the red headed woman fleeing.
Take off the blindfold you idiot.
Constance whipped off the blindfold as her subconscious reprimanded her for being a scaredy cat. Suddenly someone wraps her into a hug. "Constance! You got us so worried! Carlisle was at his wits end trying to find you for the last like 5 hours!" Alice cries, looking up at her with familiar topaz eyes. "Alice...? How did you..?" She questions, furrowing her brows to see Carlisle stepping out in front of them. "They got away." He growls, wiping his hands on his jeans with a frown. "Who were they? How did you find me? What did they want?" Constance bombards them with questions, looking between the two. "Where is everyone else?" She adds. "Okay, Constance dear. Everyone is back at the house. I need you to stay calm and come back with us. I will explain everything." Carlisle states seriously, stepping forward and taking Constance's hands in his. Constance thinks for a moment. Would it be a good idea to go back with them? After all, they seem to know why she was almost kidnapped. But the whole reason she left Forks was because of them.  But she couldn't say no to Carlisle. Not to his face. She felt bad and embarrassed for leaving without a thank you. "Okay." She murmurs softly, blinking a couple of times as her blue green eyes look between them. "I'll come back. But I expect all of my questions answered." She states. Carlisle's lips quirk up in a smile and he nods. "Perfect. Anything you wish, my dear. Let's go. Alice, you drive Constance home. I'll drive her truck." Carlisle instructs before walking back towards the gas station where Constance and Alice followed.

As Carlisle buckled his seatbelt in Constance's truck, her scent washed over him. He couldn't help but sit for a moment and relish the feeling of her filling the car, even if she wasn't directly present at the time. She smelled like everything good in the world. The old worn seat was still warm from where she sat and Carlisle liked how you could tell where Constance put her hands on the wheel because the material was more worn in one area than the others. He started up the car and they went on their way.

After a long drive, they made it back to the house where everyone waiting nervously in the living room. Was Constance okay? Had Carlisle and Alice succeeded in finding her? What if Esme got to her first? Questions bounced around their minds just as the door swung open to reveal Constance.
"Constance!" Bella exclaims, standing up and rushing over to her in a hug. Renesmee followed close behind, hugging Constance's leg. "Connie you are back!" She cries happily. The rest of the family smiles happily as Carlisle and Alice push through the doors. "Now everyone. We have some answers for Constance, don't we? I want you all to be one hundred percent honest when she asks you a question, alright?" Carlisle instructs carefully, leading everyone to sit back down. Constance sat in an armchair and Carlisle stood behind her with hands on her shoulders. "Constance. Please, hear us out. We have something to tell you that you mustn't tell anyone. If you do, we could all be in danger. You don't want that- right?" He asks slowly leaning down to whisper in her ear. Constance shakes her head slowly, eyes fixed ahead of her. What could they possibly have to tell her that was so important?
"Constance. We are Vampires." Alice says plainly, smiling at her with a fanged grin.
Constance looks at everyone for a moment, waiting for everyone to burst out laughing and say, 'Ha! We got you!'. But that didn't happen. Everyone looked completely serious. Constance hesitantly smiled anyway, chuckling nervously. "Ha ha ha. Very funny guys. Where are the cameras?" She responds, her stomach flipping with nervousness.
"No. We are serious." Edward speaks up. "All of us except for the dog over there is a vampire." He says, throwing a glance at Jacob who frowns. "Dog?" Constance questions. "Werewolf." Jacob answers quietly and she nods her head in understanding. "Oh." She mumbles, eyes falling to her lap. "Now Constance, I know it's a lot to take in so just...take it easy." Alice says calmly as Constance stands up. "I'm a...I'm fine. Yep- just perfectly fine." She mutters, running a hand through her hair. "It's just that either you all are insane or I am insane. I honestly believe it's the ladder." Constance mutters, kind of having a mini panic attack inside. "No, Constance, my dear you aren't crazy. This is real. We are all real." Carlisle says, rushing to her side.
