I reached the top of the steps, only to be met with a bunch of people, including Wesley, still sitting around the table. Their eyes shot up to me, silently questioning me with their gazes. "He says you could try Stockport, she talked about going there a few times, and her boyfriend's name is Ryan." I said, making them all widen their eyes in surprise.

"You actually got him to talk?" a guy named Shawn asked, and I couldn't help but notice his bruised knuckles.

"Yeah, I'm going to go get him some food and stuff, don't bother him until I get back." I replied simply, already on my way out the door.

I made my way back to my flat building, heading up the sketchy elevator that creaked and groaned on every other level. The doors opened with a off-tone "ding" on my floor, and I walked down the hallway to my shared flat. After getting inside, I grabbed a clean pair of clothes for Dan, and enough money to get us both something from Wendy's, before leaving once again.

~Le time skip {after getting Wendy's}~

I got back to the warehouse, two bags, (One of fast-food and one of clothes) in hand, and knocked on the door, where Paul greeted me.

"He still here?" I asked, walking through the door and towards the basement steps.

"Yep, no-one's touched him." he replied, before going to lay on the couch. The warehouse was the closest thing to a home Paul had, and he didn't leave very often, considering two people almost always had to be here to gaurd our supply.

I was actually quite surprised that people had listened to me, normally my suggestions were just swept under the rug until someone else claimed the idea for their own later on. I went down the steps, and over to the back room, where I could here Dan humming High School Musical through the door. I chuckled to myself, before unlocking the door, and walking in to see Dan sitting exactly where I left him. I let out a tiny laugh, "So I take it you didn't have a nap." I muttered through a smile. Dan shook his head.

"Nah, I'm too hungry to sleep." he muttered, looking up at me with those big brown eyes.

"Well you're in luck, I've brought Wendy's." I replied, shaking the bag in my hand. "And we didn't have any ice packs so I bought you a frosty instead." I added, making Dan smile. (I just had this thought that they probably don't even have Wendy's in England... I'm too lazy to fix it, so let's just pretend.)

I cut the ties on Dan's feet, since he probably wouldn't try to escape with me here, and handed him the bag of clothes. "You can change into these, I won't look." I added, turning around so I faced the door. I heard some shuffling before Dan gave the okay to turn around, and I went and sat next to him on the wall. My clothes were slightly baggy on his small frame, but then again sweatpants and hoodies were kind of supposed to be, so he looked rather normal.

I grabbed the bag of food and reached inside, pulling out two sandwiches and a large fry. "Spicy chicken or Bacon cheeseburger?" I asked holding a sandwich in eachother hand and moving them around.

"Bacon!" he exclaimed, as I tossed his preferred Burger his way, chuckling at his excitement. We ate our sandwiches in silence, and I let Dan eat the majority of the fries despite his protests. He held the frosty to the side of his face while we talked.

"So what are you, year eleven?" I asked, observing the young boy.

"Uh, yeah, I'm on winter break at the moment." he shrugged, fiddling with the string on the hoodie he wore.

"Do you get along with your mum?" I asked, attempting to change the subject before quickly realizing that I had only made it worse.

"For a while we did...but a few years ago she started dating Ryan, and he got her hooked on heroin. Since then she's barely acknowledged my existence." he answered sadly. Yep, I definitely made it worse.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that." I muttered, mentally slapping myself.

"No it's alright... Are they... are they gonna kill her?" he asked, looking up at me and lowering the frozen chocolate treat. We sat there for a few minutes in silence, before I just decided to tell him the truth.

"I don't know... They'll definitely off Ryan, 'cause he's the one who pulled the gun... but apparently your mum was only used to help carry the drugs, so I really don't know what they'll do to her." I answered, watching as Dan lowered his head and brought his knees to his chest. I scooted closer, and rubbed his back in what I hoped was a comforting manner, while he leaned his head on my shoulder. We were so close that our entire sides were pressed together. I could hear Dan's breaths slowing, evening out into gentle snores, and I knew he was asleep. I allowed myself to rest my head on his, because for the first time in weeks, my eyes actually felt heavy. I let them flutter closed, and before I knew it, I too was out like a light, dreaming sweet dreams of chocolate brown eyes.
