Chapter 24

24. Lost Memories.

(Max's P.O.V)
I was shook.

I rushed to the hospital to see Ri sitting there with an unconscious Sam.

"What happened?" I asked her, scared.
"I don't know. In the report its said that her head hit somewhere. But when she was brought to the hospital there was no external head injuries but she had lost a lot of blood from her body."

I could tell that Ri was still in shock. She didn't have any expressions when she told me what happened. I mean I think anyone would be shocked to know that their best friend was admitted in the special ward when they're on a date. Ri held on to her hand the whole time.

Tears were welling up in my eyes. Sam was like a sister to me. Scratch that. She IS my sister. We've always had that strong bond since the beginning. But now look at her. Look at how broken she is. How did this all come to this?

~The next day~
I took the shift today because Ri was exhausted staying up all night. She was not willing to leave but I knew she was worn and took the interest in leaving her to rest.

I was there too but I reached by half way. I was sitting on the small coushined sofa when I heard a small call.

"Can....Can I have...some..water please?". She was awake. Thank goodness.

I walk towards the bed quickly and helped her lean on her bed rail. I took a glass filled halfway up, put in a straw and gave it to her.

"Where am I? Who are you?." She asked a little scared.

"Don't worry cupcake. I'm Max, one of your best friends and you're in a hospital.  You're fine sweetheart." I talked to her while I showed her some pictures of us.

I leaned in for a hug and first she hesitated a little bit, but then she forced herself from the bed to give me a hug. She hugged me like a five year old pouting girl. I let out a little snicker.

"What happened to me?"

"You're completely fine peaches. It's just a tiny accident".

"Then why can't I remember anything?"

"Wait.. what do you remember about yourself?."  If she didn't remember anything about the bullying thing, this might be her second chance.

"I'm Sammy Cooper, 15 year old, Has an older brother named Harry , and broke...up..with that jerk."
