18. Unexpected.

~IN SCHOOL~
3rd period. Art. Not that bad I guess.

I went to my locker to get my art book and pencils. Suddenly, Ri came running to me.
"Guess what? Someone's going on a date!"

"Who? Max? Where did he get a date from?"

"Ha ha. Very funny. I GOT ASKED OUT!!!!!"

"WHAT??!!" Omg I'm so happy for you. Who is it?"

"Rodrick Shore. One of the most popular guys in the whole school!"

"Wow! You must've gone down gurl!"

"Shut up Ms-I-don't-want-you-to-know-that-I'm-jealous !" She said giggling.

I gave Ri a a good friendly hug and bid her good bye cuz' I didn't want to be late for my art class.

Thankfully, I was just the third student in the class. We had our own easel with a giant canvas board, a small stand, a cup with water, an empty cup to keep out brushes and pencils, and a professional wooden paint pallet.

As Mr.Christian, our art teacher was absent, we had a substitute teacher who asked us to draw whatever we wanted and the best part is, she said she would display out art work at the Public School Art Exhibition, as she was the art director of the program.

It was surprisingly a big deal for everyone because even the popular girls would submit their works for the exhibition.

And if we won this year, we are to be awarded with a fully functional Polaroid Camera with a lots and lots and LOTS of films for it, the new fun-filled (as said on the cover I guess;) extra large pack of art supplies, and the BEST part, A HOVERBOARD! How cool is THAT?!

I decided to give my best when I saw someone in the same art class as mine. Lucy. Darn Lucy.

I hid behind my canvas board and leaned away from being noticed by her, when I heard someone say "I don't think that any one of us will win this year. Lucy is just too good at art."

Wow. Great. I don't think I'm ever gonna get along this school.

As I leaned back up and saw another familiar face. A very particularly familiar face.

No. This can't be. No no no!!!
