Prologue:
Don't you wish you could freeze time in the moment?
Relive the moments that you dearly treasure?
Hold onto the ones you love?
Perhaps trade a life for a life?
I do.
Once upon a time, we were happy. All of us. I have heard people say before that growing up in perfect households taints your perception on the evil out there. I guess for some time, I didn't believe a word they said. People were just jealous of us. We were one family. Proud and happy. Others were just jealous at how their relationship hit a nasty iceberg, causing it to sink.
We didn't sink.
Well...at least I thought we didn't.
After a while, I lost hope. I knew, I was trying to hold onto an unrealistic belief that we will forever, remain in the perfect household.
But we didn't.
I kicked and screamed till my heart was content, to stop someone from dragging me into the black abyss of the harsh reality. But what I didn't realise was, that we were doomed from the start.
The very start.
