I did not see Steve much in Fact you would think I was avoiding him like the plague it was not that I was mad at him sure i was worried but not mad it's just Howard said it would be best if we kept my job top secret and me keeping a secret from Steve was as hard as lying to bucky it was a mission impossible. I had been given orders to meet Peggy at 6am sharpe I was never a morning person but I had Got up at 4 30am I was told to wear something fit for working out in I chose a pair of camouflage bottoms that I had tucked into a pair of army boots and a navy green top with a black star outlined in red on it I put my hair in a smart doughnut bun letting a small curl fall out at the front. A car had pulled up outside my house at five no doubt Howard sent it. It was about ten to six when I got there Peggy was already waiting near the mass tent"ms hart"Peggy smiled"please call me gracie"I asked she nodded"ok being one of the only females on the site you get a cabin to yourself it's next to mine so that's good I guess the men arrive at 9am ms cole here"points to a red head lady"will show you your cabin"Peggy said as we walked through the large tent. I nod I get to a cabin it's nice it has dark brown wood on it a nice door and a set up camp fire inside was a seating area with a glass table and black sofa it had a bathroom with shower and toilet and a big bedroom with a double bed and red sheets. After an hour or so of making it feel like home I sat down on my new bed looking at a picture of me with bucky and Steve at my 23rd birthday 2 years ago. there was a soft tap on my front door I answered to see Steve I hugged him before he said anything"your a idiot"I whisper to him he laughs"what about you your big talk the guys must have seen you earlier because they have taken quite a liking to there new doctor on base"he smiled at me"i'm not just a doctor I will be trained for self defence which means I can kick some nazi ass to"I say "right"he hummed"what"I smiled"oh it's just if bucky knew"he smirked"which he won't steve stop being a spoil sport, scared I will be better"I smirk he rolls his eyes "come on"I slung my arm round his shoulder "I need to go to the main tent walk with me"he nodded and we began our walk.
