District of Air/City of Atlantis, Atlantic Ocean: December 19th, 2013: 10:38 PM

Yeah, sure!

Sneak into the city, commander the Maelstrom portal and bring the Legion through it.

No problem!

Only when Atlanta managed to get to the Sphere of Air created around the District of Air by the force gem, she had to get around the picket line of Atlantean soldiers that were surrounding that very section of the city.

As she figured out how to get in there without anyone noticing her, she took note of how the Force wall keeping the billions upon trillions of pounds of Ocean water out of the District of Air was still up and working.

Strange, Depth Charge was always bound and determined to tear down the district of Air where the Palace resided, the place where the Omi-Aquatics (like Atlanta) could go and turn into their default human look and form.

The fact that the force gem was still working almost made her think that maybe it wasn't Depth Charge who was behind the attack, or this apparent coup of Atlantis's monarchy with the Army holding a similar grip on the city of Atlantis like they were up on Seafoam Island.

But then the thought of the wall of water caused her to think otherwise, THAT was definitely the work of Depth Charge, there was no other rational explanation for it.

She then at that second realised how she could get in past the picket line surrounding the outside of the Sphere of Air.

And after knocking out an unaware soldier, she stole his armor and identification pad before entering the district of Air with great discretion.

The picket Line didn't even take notice of her, and if they did they probably thought she was one of them.

Atlanta smiled, proud of herself for getting in this far.

Depth Charge probably thought that Atlanta would come at the picket line all "Lone warrior" like she would have in the past, but her time with the Heroes Legion had taught her that deception and stealth and using your head were more effective tools that anything her fists or legs could do.

Now here she was walking as fast as she could, without drawing any attention to herself from the Soldiers that were roving around the city.

She could see that here in the district of Air, just like the rest of the city outside, Soldiers were keeping everyone inside their homes in some kind of "Emergency Curfew" or something or other that she heard other soldiers talk about when she walked by them.

It seems that Shadow Knight was right, there was a coup...and it seems that the military were supporting it.

It almost broke her heart to see her own people subjugated, by their own military.

Whoever was behind this, and whichever one of these Soldiers joined this insanity of their own free will....when it was over, she was going to make every one of those Soldiers that joined and supported this without hesitation and eagerness to start this occupation of both Atlantis and Seafoam island pay dearly for it!

She wondered about the current condition of her parents and her brother Justin....or heck even the Guardians, They wouldn't have allowed this to happen...so what had happened to them?

She almost changed direction and went off toward the Palace instead, but she reminded herself that there was too much at stake for her to screw up the plan to go look for her loved ones down here in Atlantis and continued on to where the Maelstrom portal was.
