We were living in a small house on the outskirts of the leaf village. Not much was to be said about our house, besides that we've lived in it our whole lives, or our clan since most of our clan was gone.
Most of the Sachiko was killed in battle when the nine tails attacked the hidden leaf. All the Jounin and Chunin that our clan possessed were sent out to help fight off the beast. With the Hokage knowing that we were probably the weakest and smallest in numbers, he still had us sent out. So our dad and uncle were sent out and led our clan into battle. When all of them were killed it destroyed our clan. All of our leaders, family, friends, everyone with power was killed.
With the jutsu we posses you don't really fight with it. You're more likely there just to change the course of the battle, yet the nine tails could never be affected by our jutsu. Our clan manipulates emotions after all. It's a type of genjutsu and it has you see the most powerful thing in your memory that is associated with that memory. For instance if someone were to use our jutsu on me, and would want me to feel sad I would relive the day my mom died.
It's not a very effective jutsu as to why we didn't have many jounin in our clan. Only three to be exact. Both our parents, and our uncle. They were our only jounin out of our entire clan, and they were all killed. Now imagine how awful that must have been to be the only clan with no leaf shinobi. We were laughed at and kicked out of the leaf village, and yet my brother still attended the academy despite us being kicked out of the village.
Shiamo is my older brother by seven years. So that means he was alive when my dad was killed, and he was at home taking care of me while my mom was out on a mission. He is an exceptional shinobi who has water style jutsu and our clan's special, yet worthless, genjutsu. Shiamo is a lot like our dad. Even though I didn't know my dad I know that Shiamo looks a lot like him due to pictures we have hidden away. His light blue hair swept over his leaf headband and bright green eyes contrasted from his tan skin.
His personality was like my mother, she was always smiling, cracking jokes and happy, but when she needed to she could be focused and and determined. That's what Shiamo tells me anyway.
He was completely different from me in every aspect. My hair was dark like the night and my skin was pale, and my eyes, well they were also dark. As for my personality, I was boring you could say. My main focus was reading and just trying to get smarter.
It was a very odd appearance for someone in our clan since everyone had colorful hair and they were always happy or cheerful and mostly everyone dense. Except for my family of course. My parents were intelligent, more so than the average leaf shinobi is, and that goes for Shiamo and myself.
"Myano! I'm back." Shiamo shouts throughout the house after he got home. I was up in my room reading when I hear him shout to me. Quickly I close my book and go downstairs to greet my brother who has been gone for a few days on a mission. Since he is a jounin he has to lead a squad of three genin on missions. He has a very...weak squad, and he's a very powerful jounin so it makes sense that he was paired up with the kids he has.
"How was your mission?" I ask him as I was leaning on the door frame to the kitchen. This is usually what happens; Shiamo goes on a mission for three or more days at a time and comes home for about a day then heads out on another mission. Which really means I'm alone most of the time. I do have the remaining clan members here but they're all the wives or sisters of dead shinobi or their kids who are waiting to go into the academy.
"It was fine. I had to step in a few times, but they're getting better." Shiamo tells me as he takes off his shoes then walks past me into the kitchen to look for some food.
"That's good." Was all I said and sit down at our table and wait for Shiamo to get his meal that I had prepared for him already.
"What did you do while I was gone?" He asks and sits on his knees across from me. Shiamo picks at his food but never really takes a bite. It seems like he wasn't even hungry, and usually when he gets back from a mission he's starving.
