Kaden stayed quiet much of the next day's journey. Larmina tried getting him to to talk, attempting to grasp any kind of information she could get ahold of, but he just silently kept to himself, staring outside the window with such an intense look burning in his eyes.

What in the world could possibly be so interesting outside a stupid window?

She sighed after the millionth time of trying to get him to make a sound, giving up on his inner witty nature, she retreated to her own thoughts, residing to the farthest, darkest, and most evilest part of her mind. The birthplace of her life mission.

The time was getting close. Every second that passed by, every inch they moved, every breath time made, brought her closer and closer to the moment they would reach Finamere. Just thinking about it got her blood pumping in her heart and a twisty feeling appeared in her stomach. She was a caged wild tiger who was trying her best to keep calm, but the spirit inside of her knew that once you open the door...not even a bullet could stop her.

There was just one flaw to her plan...she had no plan. Once she was in the castle, all she could do was wing it. Castle life has no sureness, anything could happen, so all you could do is hope for the best. But Larmina being the lioness she was, decided to plot the moment she got there, that's no problem for her, but going in with no plan, was something else. All she could do was, well, hope for the best. Minus the hope part.

"We're almost there."

Kaden's words shook her out of a trance hours later and forced her mind to focus again.

"Look who's apparently not mute."

He rolled his eyes and didn't say anything to it. He lifted his fingers and pointed outside. "See those farms far out there?"

Larmina looked to where he was pointing and replied with a sharp, short nod of her head.

"That means we are right outside the city borders."

"Great, the sooner we get there, the sooner I can leave," she muttered under her breath.

Kaden tilted his head at her, "Who are you targeting anyways?"

Larmina immediately snapped out of it, giving him her meanest glare, "You said you wouldn't ask."

"Alright alright, I won't. But it must be someone important for you to act up like that."

More like THE most important, but of course, he doesn't need to know that.

"Anyways, once we get there I'll have to take the lead, assuming you've never been there before."

"How would you know I've never been there before?"

Kaden raised an eyebrow, "Well have you?"

Larmina bit her lip, debating weather to lie and fake it, or to let it go. She would get to prove she's confident, she would get to take the lead, and she would get to decide. But on the other hand, she could mess up, she could ruin everything, she could go to prison, she could get executed if something went wrong, she could make a huge mistake, she could get sent home...In the end, the cons outweighed the pros in the category of, "fake it."

"Fine," was all she said before she turned and gave him the silent treatment and a bunch of death glares, which he thankfully ignored.

"Stay calm and act natural." Kaden began uttering nonsense again. "No threatening, no stealing tongues, no death glares, no bad magic, and under any circumstances at ALL, no murdering. Am I clear?"
