The Awakening

New Side of Shadow

Shadow was outside looking at the roses Sonic had planted for him. He decided to do some renovation to the place but not a lot, maybe just the roses considering he had nothing else to do and didn't want to be lazy, he had even cleaned the house.
An hour later Shadow stood in front of his grave. He had trimmed the roses so the dead ones were gone, there was one rose that thrived in the middle so he put it in isolation. And changed the blue roses. Now he had absolutely nothing to do but go out, but.....who would want to go out?
He flopped onto the couch, bored. He soon fell asleep from boredom.
"So cute." Shadows ear twitched at the voice. "Shadow." It was Sonics voice. Opening his eyes, Shadow stretched. "Hmm?" "Look! Me and Tails went to a mall and I thought of buying you a gift. And I saw this and it made me think of you." Shadow looked at a shirt Sonic held up. It was dark red and in black writing it said:

Is taken
Shadow looked at Sonic. "I'm not wearing that." Shadow stated. "I was kidding! I wouldn't make you wear that. I mean you could can still have it. But I have this for you." Sonic gave Shadow a black pouch. Shadow grabbed it and opened it. He put his hand in it before pulling it out. In his palm was a dark looking orb or pearl, he did it again and pulled out a bright, red rose.
There was a blue heart charm and two magnet squares that fitted together like puzzles. One was a blue with a large green S and a smaller S in the upright corner while the other was a black square with a large red U and a small S in the up left corner. And finally a piece of folded paper. "What's this?" Shadow asked. "Just look at it." Sonic insisted. Unfolding the paper, Shadow glanced back and forth between Sonic and the paper.

It read exactly what Sonic had said the other day.

"Your my soul mate. My other half. My perfect other, and we fit perfectly together. You have everything I don't have. Your my precious, beautiful, mysterious, blood red rose. Your my shiny, rare, amazing, dark pearl. Your my lover and one and only."

Shadow returned it all back into the pouch begore he put it in his lap and looked at Sonic. "So.....what do you think?" Sonic asked. Shadow stood up, leaving the pouch on the couch. He wrapped his arms around the blue speedsters neck before he gave him a kiss. "I love it." Shadow said as he took the shirt from Sonics hand and put on the shirt. "The shirts right. I am a taken uke and I'm yours." Shadow purred in Sonics ear as he stood on his tippy toes with his hands on Sonics chest slightly and his tail wagged slightly happy. "Oh really?" Sonic asked as he wrapped his arms around Shadows waist. "You don't want me to be?" Shadow asked as Sonic shook his head. "I wouldn't have it any other way." Sonic said as Shadow gave him another kiss. "Me neither." Shadow kissed Sonic passionately as he slowly pulled him to the room. "Its been a while since I've had someone do me good." Shadow whispered as Sonics eyes went wide. "That's new." Sonic commented. "What are you going to do?" Shadow asked as they made it to the room. "I guess I'll have to teach you a lesson." Sonic answered with a grin as he kicked the door close. "I guess so cause I haven't been very good lately. I've been very bad." Shadow purred as Sonic nuzzled into his neck, giving light kisses. "I guess I'll have to punish you." Sonic said.
