I Will Get My Revenge

Shaodw sat up quickly. His eyes hurt from the over excessive light. Putting a arm over his face to shield his eyes he groaned. "Who the fuck has lights like this?!" Shadow growled in frustration. "I'll get it!" He heard an all too familiar voice. Shadow opened his eyes to see Sonic by the light switched and turned it off. Rouge was in front of Shadow who layed on a bed and started to freak out while back pedaling into the wall. "No! I'm not- I can't stay here! I've got to end this nightmare!" Shadow exclaimed as he jumped up but got tangled into white sheets. "Shadow hun, calm down!" Rouge said in concern. "No! Your not real! I know your not! I just have to find the real one!" Shadow said as he tried to get up but failed and tried to attack Rouge when she got near. Shadow finally got out of his prison blanket and ran the farthest corner. "Your- your just all illusions! Your nothing important!" Shadow said and put his hands to his head, digging his fingers into his skull. Sonic carefully and slowly approached Shadow who's eyes darted around. Sonic finally made it to the dark hedgehog, placing a hand on his shoulders. Shadow jumped and looked at the person in front of him before growling. "Back off! Traitor! Backstabber! Why aren't you with you pink girlfriend?! Go away!" Shadow yelled and pounced on Sonic. Rouge panicked, knowing what her best friend could do. "Soldiers!" Rouge yelled as G.U.N. human soldiers arrived and tried to pry Shadow off of Sonic.
The dark hedgie threw them away and tried to Chaos Spear them but couldn't bring himself too. He felt weak suddenly and decided not to drain the Chaos Energy and just use his unnatural strength. Shadow was finding it hard to keep the backstabber of a Sonic pinned to the ground as he fended off the humans but soon two large, over sized humans came and grabbed Shadow by the arms and drag him away. Shadow struggled to get out of their grip. "I'll be back! I will get my revenge! You can count on it!" Shadow yelled from out in the hall. Sonic and Rouge stood there uneasy and frightened. "I'll talk to him. Don't worry." Rouge said as she left.
Rouge walked through the white hall, the same two men that dragged Shadow away were standing on each side of her. Both bald white males. They made her nervous a little but she acted like nothing. She listened to the annoying tapping of their feet across the long hall ground. "And...why do you have to come with me? Am I not trusted?" Rouge asked, striking up conversation. The one on her right answered first. "That's not the problem ma'am. Its that they don't trust him." The second spoke right after. "Only we can contain him. He's attacked the doctors before so we have to keep you safe." Rouge nodded in response. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, even if he was outraged.
Soon they stood in front of a wall with a small opening and door. "Shadow? Hun, its me Rouge, I'm coming in ok?" She said through the opening earning a gasp. "Rouge?!" Shadow said as she nodded even though he couldn't see her. She waited on the guards to open the door who shook their head. "No can do. Were not supposed to endanger lives." She looked annoyed. "I will hurt you or you could let me in. I might not look so intimidating but he is when he's pissed." She threatened as they quickly opened the door, Rouge caught the password. She walked in as they almost came in. "No. Leave us alone." She demanded and they did as told. She looked back at the dark hedghog in the corner on a dark bed. Actually, the whole place was dark except for the occasional red roses on the wall that looked wilted. She rushed over to him and hugged him. "Is it the real you?" Shadow asked, cautioned. She nodded, tears spilling out. "Its the real me." She said as he hugged her back. "Rouge! You don't know how long I've been waiting to see you!" Shadow said as they pulled away. He wore a hoddie that was dark gray but with light gray sleeved and hood. "Nice sweater, where'd you get it from?" She asked. He looked down and pulled it away from his body. "This? Oh, well I demanded two sweaters and I ripped off the sleeves and the hood on the dark one and replaced it with the ones on the light gray. Oh! Look at this stuff I made!" Shadow said like a child and jumped off the bed. She realized not only did he act like one but he now looked like one. He grabbed a crate from the corner across from the bed and sat back down. "Look. In my dream I was supposed to do things with art." Shadow showed her the clay figures of her, Maria, the Commander, an unfinished Sonic, and the pasta picture. "How come Sonics not finished?" Rouge asked ad Shadow looked at the figure on her hand. "Because I hate him. That's also why I have the Commander. I had to make people I hate... I couldn't bring myself to finish Sonic though." Shadow said. Rouge nodded in understanding and looked t the table next to the bed. "Why do you have a table?" She questioned as Shadow looked at it. "Its where I eat and do my work." Shadow said. "What work?" Rouge couldn't stop asking questions. "My artwork. I had them get me supplies to do it. But they always took it away. Well not the ones on the wall. I painted it myself." Shadow said with pride. "I also didn't let them take these away." Shadow looked back at the crate. They sat in silence. "Why don't you tall me what happened?" She insisted as Shadow grabbed a piece of paper and started to draw. "Ok. I'll start after I died." Shadow said.
Rouge hugged Shadow goodbye. "I'll try to visit often hun." She said as he nodded. "Bye Rouge." Shadow called after her. She stepped outside and walked down the hall a little before stopping. She fell to her knees and bawled her eyes out. "Oh Shadow!" She cried there for a few minutes before someone put a hand on her shoulder causing her to stiffen. She looked up to see Sonic. "I'm going to go see him." Sonic said. He turned to walk away but she grabbed his arm. "Wait! Don't go in!" She said but he shook her off. "Sorry Rouge, but o want to see him. I haven't seen him in a while." Sonic said but Rouge jumped to her feet and quickly flew to Shadows door, entering the password she entered the room. "Shadow!! I've got to warn you! Sonic! He's-!" Rouge didn't get to finish as the blue hedgehog came in. "Here!" Sonic said as Shadow lowered his ears and growled at him. Shadow was about to say something but saw the open the door. Shadow then came up with a idea. He then put on puppy eyes and had a quivering lip. "Sonic! I missed you!" Shadow said as he thew himself into the blue hedgehog. Rouge was suprised, he had just told her he hated Sonic. But then...why was he--? Oh no! "Uh..." She said as Shadow grinned evilly and snuggled into Sonic. Then Shadow kissed Sonic who was suprised but kiss back. The dark hedgie wrapped his arms around Sonics neck and had his hands into Sonics quills. Rouge slowly made her way out of the room. Shadow soon pulled away with a grin and pushed Sonic into the bed as he ran out and locked him on the room. Shadow put on his inhibitor rings he stole from Sonics quills. "I'll come back for my revenge on you!" Shadow yelled before he walked away in his comfy sweater, not knowing Rouge was still there in the hall, hiding. When she was sure he was gone she unlocked the door for Sonic. "Great going Blue! You let out Shadow! I told you not to go in!" Rouge snapped at Sonic who was confused. "What's so bad about letting him out?" Sonic asked. "Sonic! He's mad, upset, heart broken, blood thirsty, revenge seeking, on the verge of his 5th break down!" Rouge yelled as Sonics face fell. "Crap." Sonic commented.
Shadow silently ran through a hall then jumped up a wall into the air vents, hearing someone. He decided to travel like that and made his way to a specific room. Three scientists walked back and forth doing important work. Shadow jumped down when all of their back were turned.
Sonic ran by Rouge, trying to locate Shadow but couldn't find him. A blood curdling scream echoed off the wall, sending shivers down their spines. "I think hw went that way." Rouge said, pointing down a hall and Sonic just nodded.
The two bursted in to see a scientists slumped over the table, passed out with a bumb on his head, another lay on the floor unconscious and beat up badly, a third one hung by his neck by his tie on a light. A large hole showing his intestines in his stomach while sheathed covered him. Rouge almost puked by the smell while Sonic puked from the sight.
The two turned hearing more screams in pain and everywhere they went were bodies that were died or on the bridge of death.
"Where is he?!" Sonic said desperate. "I don't know! I don't hear anymore screams!" Rouge said in frustration. "I know exactly where he is." A voice said from behind. It caused the two to turn around to see Shadow having some blood on his gloves. Sonic jumped at the sight. "Shadow! Why are you doing this?" Sonic asked. "Because they deserve it. They don't know how it is to feel pain, so I taught them." Shadow said with a smirk. Rouge just stood there. She was paralyzed in fear. Shadow turned his back to them. "Have any last words your girlfriend?" Shadow growled. "Shadow, I don't have a girlfriend and I never have and never will!" Sonic said. "Then, any last words to your boyfriend?" Shadow asked. "He's standing right in front of me." Sonic said as Shadow laughed. "That's funny cause there no other male here is me and I don't have a boyfriend!" Shadow said. "Shadow, I'm your boyfriend. Don't you remember?!" Sonic cried out. "Oh I do but I don't have one anymore." Shadow said. Rouge still stood there but then regained her senses. She walked over to Sonic and whispered into his ear. "Sonic I'll be right back." Sonic nodded as she we away. "What do you mean you don't have one anymore?" Sonic asked. "I just don't anymore. Why can't you accept that?" Shadow said in frustration. "Why aren't you together anymore?" Sonic asked. "You know exactly why, you fake! Don't try to play games with me! I know this isn't real, just like you!" Shadow growled in anger. "I'm not fake. This is real." Sonic said, he tried to grab Shadows shoulder but it was slapped away by the other. "No your not!" Shadow denied. "What's the difference between the real Sonic and the fake...me?" Sonic asked as Shadow seemed to calm a little. "The real one wouldn't play with me and use me. You'll mess with my mind and make me go crazy! I'm waiting until I wake up from this awful nightmare so I can go back to the real world. I'll know somehow if its reality or not!" Shadow shouted. "Your right Shadow, but I'm just trying to help you." Sonic said as he saw Rouge creep up behind Shadow who was so focused on the blue hedgehog that he didn't even hear her. "How can you be helping me?!" Shadow snarled. "To prepare you. I know that the real will most likely stay with you but me and all the other fakes....we're preparing you in case if you were just dreaming it all up or Sonic breaks up with you. But for now, this dream is good. So just enjoy it." Sonic said as Shadow allowed him to get close. "Really?" Shadow asked desperately when Sonic hugged him tightly and pulled away slowly after. "Yeah. Your mind is getting you ready, just in case." Sonic said as the dark hedgie looked at the ground in concentration. "But then, if that's the case then I'll never know reality....." Shadow mumbled. Rouge had had a bucket and dumped the contents onto Shadow. Shadow froze in place when a bundle of Love Flowers fell over his head and he looked down frozen in place. Rouge then grabbed one and put it behind his ear. "Shadows going in a date!" Rouge said in a singsong way with a grin causing the black hedgie to blush. "We'll do that later, there's something else planned first." Sonic said as he pinned Shadow to the ground as Rouge squealed loudly. "Well, I'll leave you guys to....do it." She said with a wink before flying away.
The two hedgehogs watched the white bat fly away before Sonic whipped his head back to Shadow. "Its just you and me now." Sonic said as Shadow tried to get out of his grip. How did he end up here? He had been out for revenge and As I nic was his last victim but instead they shared a conversation and now he found himself trapped under the blue one. Sonic kissed Shadow passionately and before Shadow could acknowledge it, a brilliant light blinded him.
He awoke on a hospital bed. Sonic and Rouge were by his side. "What's with all the fucking lights?" Shadow groaned and sat up. Rouge jumped up and gave him a hug, followed by Sonic. "Is...is this reality?" Shadow asked. "Yes it is hun." Rouge responded as she pulled away. "What happened?" Shadow looked around. "Well after the incident," Sonic began but Rouge butted in. "They revived you, not getting much help my Sonic who wouldn't let you go that by hey had to pry you away from him." Rouge added as she and Sonic held a look. "Yeah and well you had slipped into a comma for a month." Sonic finished as Shadow teared up. "Shadow, what's wrong?" Rouge asked as the sark one threw his arms around their necks and pulled them close. "Nothing.... Its that I'm finally home." Shadow mumbled as he let go of them pulled Sonic into a kiss. At first the blue hedgie was suprised but kissed back none the less.

Sonic and Rouge still sat under the rain, in the crumble remains of the mall, still mourning over Shadow that had died about 15 minutes ago. Sonic was taking it harsher than her. Little did they know that Shadow was sweet fully dreaming about being alive and living happily with the two in his own mind, in his own universe.
But what was strange was the price of folded paper tucked under his arm. They didn't notice it before, and it was strange on how they didn't know in the first place.
It showed a printed body of a hedgehog. In purple pen in Rouges hand writing stated this; This is called 'Body Hurts' Shadow, I wasn't you to make a arrow to where ever you were hurt. Then I want you to tell me why.
And in Sonics hand writing with blue pen was; I love you Shadow! My blood red strong rose, my dark precious mysterious pearl.
And in Shadows handwriting with regular pencils under what Sonic wrote was this; I love you too Sonic. Now leave me alone, I'm trying to finish this or Rouge will get onto me.
That was the only writing besides the paper filled with arrows on every available space on body and blank space. Then on top of it all had in blood also in Shadows handwriting with a arrow at his heart; Sonic broke it, in real life or not. He did, but I still love him with Rouge as well.
