WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! PROCEED IF YOU LIKE SPOILERS LIKE ME!!
Now you should know... The main character of TZM is not always going to be Sal. To be honest, he becomes more of a side character after book one, but especially in book 3 and 4. The main antagonist are somewhat the same though.
Book one: Ophiuchus
Main Character: Salvador and the zodiacs
Main Antagonist: Evan and Sloth (Using O at one point) and the Argo Navis triplets
Featuring characters: Xavier (Pyxis), Bezek (Aqualia), The Navis triplets, and Philip (Centaurus)Book two: Cetus
Main character: Arlin (Cetus), Salvador, and, the zodiacs (+O and Ken)
Main antagonist: Arlin and the devils
Featuring characters: Philip, Gelasia (Sagitta), Bezek, and Galen (Piscis Austrinus)
Other constellations are mentioned in the bookBook three: Snakes
Main character: Ken and O (+the zodiacs since they're involved with the mission)
Main antagonist: Silver (Hydra) and the devils
Featuring character: Pollux (Bad Gemini), Yang (Negative Pisces)Book four: Devils
Main character: Lucie (Lust), Evan (Envy), Seth (Sloth) and the zodiacs (Mainly Thaddeus and Peter)
Main antagonist: Gabriel (Greed) and the other devils (excluding the three above)
Featuring characters: Pan (Demon Peter) and Crotus (Demon Thaddeus)Character developments
I'm not going to go to deep in this, but I'm actually excited to work on the Devils. I happen to find myself looking forward to working on Lucie and Willard's development mostly, mainly because they're also villains? You'd probably hate them at first but maybe like them in the end? Who knows?
The same goes for O and Kenneth. They're always around Salvador and pretty dependant. O only follows Sal though because she knows almost nothing about the Earth at first. In book 3 however, Ken gets involved with one of the Zodiacs missions after he finds out that his sister, Silver, was part of it. Silver does some bad stuff, but also mocks Ken on how she's much stronger than him, and emotionally abuses him. That's when I steps into the picture offering Ken to replace Silver as his 'Trainer' with her. O eventually shows her true self on this book after being all shy and distant in the first two books.
Reason for names
The reasons I have the name for each book.
Ophiuchus- The plot revolves around Salvador who is the only one who can interact with O through a dream. The Zodiacs mission is to find the thirteenth sign before the devils do. The only problem is, Who is Ophiuchus?Cetus- Everything is ALMOST back to normal until the zodiacs are... Randomly getting into accidents. Other constellations are also having some sort of problems and bad rumors begin to spread, causing relationships to crumble. Little by little, the zodiacs begin to turn on each other, all because of Cetus.
Snakes- Relationships are still straining, and demons are suddenly appearing in the human world. The cause of this is Silver, the sister of Ken who is known as the one and only powerful Hydra. Ken and O eventually fight her in order to stop her from destroying the zodiacs. Because the story revolves around those three the most, they are all snake constellations earning the title "Snakes"
Devils- Everyone is going against each other. After the triplets, Arlin, and Silver failed to kill Ophiuchus and the other zodiacs, Gabriel decides to kill them himself. Only problem is, his former allies are getting in the way. The ultimate battles happen here. Devil v.s. Zodiac, Devil v.s. Devil, and Zodiac v.s. themselves.
Relationships
There will be relationship development as well. Example is Isabelle and Angus. In book one, the two have little to no interaction. Around book two, one mission to the underworld finally make them get a glimpse of their real selves. As it continues on, Isabelle gets a bit lonely after Justice starts officially dating Krioff, but is accompanied by Angus a couple of times. The two will eventually be seen together hanging out more often even when they're not working or on a mission.
Another one (Which is my favorite (๑・ω-)~♥”) is Thaddeus and Gregory. In book one, Thaddeus and Gregory start off very rocky, placing a lot of misunderstandings and lack of trust in each other. In the end, Thaddeus feels guilty for doubting Gregory's loyalty to the group and apologizes for trying to kill him. Book two begins with them trying to be friends. Thaddeus eventually ends up making Gregory his permanent partner whenever missions. Book three, Thaddeus is surprised when Gregory starts visiting him with food. They don't realize how close they began to get, since Gregory gained the habit of coming over to Thaddeus' house to give him food and clean. Sometimes Gregory ends up falling asleep and Thaddeus usually puts him in his bed while he takes the couch. Book four is were they question their relationship after an incident where Thaddeus kissed Gregory when he thought he was asleep. Gregory was really awake, just drowsy, but couldn't get any sleep after that. Crotus eventually gets involved and claims that because of Thaddeus' feelings towards Gregory, Gregory had became the main target of Crotus' sexual activities. Of course, Thaddeus is upset, but luckily Gregory knows the difference between Thaddeus and Crotus' personality.
O and Ken's relationship develops the most in book three. When Ken first met O, the two were socially awkward. Then they became that duo that often quarreled. After O becomes Ken's trainer on the other hand, she shows him her strict, yet caring side, and he realizes that she is more supportive than Silver. They eventually grow close enough to the point that Ken starts calling her "Senior" instead of "Old hag" like he used to.
There are a lot more developments but there is so much to describe @ w @
Honorable mention: Isidore and Peter are basically married in book four :3 Matching rings.
Appearance
There are also change on appearances in some Characters. Salvador eventually gets his black hair back in book two. O looses her signature scarf from book one, for it was given to Sal in book two. In book three, her hair was cut shorter, making her look more like a guy. Like O, Angus cuts his hair short, and is actually a natural dirty blond. His blond roots show in book two while some blue remains after he cuts his hair. In book three, he's fully dirty blond.
Another change is Isidore. When Isidore is in his Yang form, his hair is black and his eyes are blue. June's eye color changes from dark blue to bright green when Pollux takes over.
Parents
There are a few Parent and Child relationships here. . .
Galen is possibly Isidore's father
Peter is Thaddeus' biological father (Thus why they share the same ability and talent)
Gregory somehow had Justice as his biological daughter and people now claim him to be an asexual
Philip was actually involved in Salvador's past
Bezek was taking care of Angus but was saddened when Jupiter told him to send him to Isidore.
Jupiter is Peter's grandfather yet June's father at the same time in a way. . . Weird.
