The slamming of the car door was deafening & the crunch of the gravel underneath her feet disturbing , as Stacy made her way hesitantly across the parking lot of The Saloon
What seemed like a great idea fueled by anger at the time had significantly cooled off with logical thinking on the drive over & now the idea wasn't that hit not so much anymore, sure she was still really angry at Denise for being the cheating slut they all knew she was but once Ryan really accepts and learns the truth he is going to be heart broken & the life that he loved so much left in ruins and Stacy couldn't help but feel torn , angry & guilty to be the one exposing it to him. A friend & savior she didn't not feel like anymore but rather like an evil bitch about to rip someone's heart right out of their chest .
Pulling open the heavy wooden door of the saloon "Million Reasons " by Lady Gaga was playing loudly , this song will be forever burned in my mind forever Stacy thought , a defining moment not only in my life but Ryan's as well as she dragged her feet across the room to the bar where Ryan was speaking to his replacement bartender .
Approaching the bar hesitantly without one shred of confidence she couldn't even look up to meet Ryan's eyes as he spotted her & said his final instructions to the young bartender taking over the shift , & made his way out from behind the bar.
" What's all this about Stacy , are you ok? Is Chris ok? The kids ok?" Ryans face wrinkled with concern as he looked her over from head to toe to take in her current state .
"Ryan , I think it's best if you just come with me right now & you'll see when you get there , please , please just trust me ok?" Stacy had felt that it was best not to tell him beforehand as Ryan may refuse to come with her , get angry , yell at her , & tell Denise who would be more secretive with her cheating , & then she would never get caught .
As they left The Saloon Ryan stopped & looked back at the bar one last time & then took quick steps towards Stacys car & she had to hurry to catch up with him.
" Fine Stacy , I don't know what this is all about but I'll trust you but this better be important & not take that long Because it's going to be a busy night here at The Saloon with a wedding party coming in after their reception we are short staffed with Denise taking the night off & MIA & a barley trained bartender this is really very inconvenient right now" Ryan clearly irritated opened Stacys car door for her .
Stacy slid behind the wheel & the engine roared to life as they began the journey to what would be one unforgettable night for both of them.
"Where they hell are they?!" Marie thought as she looked at her watch again & checked the charity scene that was still taking place across the room
Denise had her arms draped over Paul & was trying to force kisses on him as he friend Steve was whispering in her ear trying to persuade her to come with him , to the untrained eye it looked like they were both lavishing attention on her while Lisa slumped down further in her drunken state on her barstool being ignored by both of the men & her red headed friend .
Marie peeked out of the window facing the front parking lot searching desperately for Stacys car because she knew this wacked out state wouldn't last forever & if Stacy & Ryan took much longer they were going to miss it .
A pair of familiar head lights swung into the parking lot right at the moment & Marie watched as Stacy & Ryan exited the car & started making their way over to the front of the The Rocking Horse .
It's show time Marie thought , Denise be prepared to have your lying , cheating , no good whore ass caught!

I listened to the lady Gaga song Million reasons as it seemed to fit Stacys mood as she got to Ryan's job as she is taking no pleasure in hurting her friend - Marie on the other hand has a big hatred of Denise that will come to light in the next chapter from their school days, what do you think it could be?
