Candy is laying in my lap and I am stroking her hair. She is sleeping peacefully. As I am stroking her hair a clump of it comes out. What? I look at it and study it. I look at my lap. A lot of he hair as fallen out. What does this mean.
I get up and walk over to Ryan and Skuttle.
Aura:Guys, something's wrong.
Ryan:What?
Aura:A whole bunch a Candy's hair has fell out. It's all over the place.
Skuttle goes pale. Did I upset him?
Aura:What's wrong?
Ryan:Can we see her?
I nod my head and lead them to her. Skuttle runs over and picks Candy up and cradles her. She wakes up and looks around.
Candy:What's going on?
I look at her head. Half her hair is gone and you can see her scalp. She goes to scratch her head and she feels her scalp.
Candy:Where is my hair?!
Ryan looks over at Skuttle and Skuttle starts crying.
Ryan:You don't have the flu Candy...
Candy:I don't? That's great!
Ryan:You have something worse.
Her face falls. Skuttle turns candy over and looks at her back. She has a lump that is a strange color. Skuttle cries even harder. He shakes his head and hugs Candy. I look at Ryan and signal him to come with me. We go over to where my house is which is a few homes down.
Aura:Why would you tell her she has something worse?!
Ryan:Because she does.
Aura:You don't need to tell her that and what does she have?
Ryan:I think she has cancer...
My heart stops. I've heard of cancer many times. Only a few people survive. Candy being out here around all this exposer,it could make her worse. My heart shatters. She has cancer.
Aura:Will she live?
Ryan:No one ever really found a cure. There were ways to stop it but not a main cure. We don't have the supplies to help her though. We can try to get them tomorrow. Skuttle probably won't come though. He will want to spend all his time with Candy for if she d-
Aura:Dont you dare say that word!
Ryan:I won't. It's just reality has to come in sometime Aura. That time isn't now,but it's sometime soon. It is coming fast so you better be prepared.
He leaves and goes back to candy. Just as stuff was getting halfway better, this happens. Why can't I be happy! Things only get worse.
