Aura's POV
I'm done. I'm done with everything. I don't get why...why Everything just messes up. I. Am. Done.
Will:Are you ok Aura?
I nod my head. He sense that I don't want to talk and he leaves me alone. I look over a Fiona. She glances up at me and shakes her head. She sighs.
Fiona:I'm sorry.
Aura:For what?
Fiona:If I hadn't have come last night, Ryan wouldn't have
done what he did. I'm sorry.
Aura:...it's ok.
She nods her head and lays her head on the window.
Will,Skuttle,Fiona,and me are in the cab of the truck. Ty, Lèo, and Austin are in the back.
Skuttle:We are almost there.
Fiona sits up and flips her up into a ponytail. She rolls her window down and takes a deep breath.
The gates to Netho come into view and the same guards are at their post. Jim,John,and Alex. As we come closer to the gates,Jim and John block the gate while Alex walks over to our truck.
Fiona smiles and waves at Alex.
Fiona:Hello Alex. We are here to drop off more supplies.
Alex:For what?
Fiona:For the children's schools. We got a telegram that said you were running low on lead and glue.
Fiona is good at intimadation. She makes things up on the spot and can get away with it. Alex nods his head. John and Jim open the gates. We slowly pull through and take a right. As soon as the guards are out of view, Fiona takes the cap off and her hair down. Ty, Lèo, and Austin get out from under the tarps.
Skuttle stops the car and we all get out. Once we are at the back we pick our weapons. I chose the same thing. A bow, a sheath of arrows, a gun that I slip into my boot, and some ammo I put around my waist. Ty grabs the same things as me. We are the more
quieter "killers" you could say.
Candy walks over to the back of th- CANDY?!
Aura:What are you doing here?!
Candy:I wanted to help. I wanted to show that I can help too.
Skuttle: Candy, you could get sick out her. We are going to get stuff that will make you b-
Candy:Nothing will make me better. I know I'm going to die Skuttle. Dont try to make me feel better.
She knows how sick she is now. She knows she might not get better. She grabs a gun and some ammo.
Skuttle:You will get bett-
Candy:When will reality come in Skuttle? I have cancer. I will nt get better. No one really does get better. For however long I got left, I wanna do something that will help.
Skuttle looks like her will protest more but Lèo cuts him off.
Lèo:There is a even number of us now. Skuttle,Candy, Aura and Will, you guys go look for medical supplies. Ty, Austin, me , and Fiona are going to go look for other necessities. Ok? Yeah? Now go.
I grab Candy's hand and we walk towards the door. Dkuttle and Will follow close behind. I pull Candy down once we get in the door.
Aura:I don't want you to shoot that gun. You only use it if YOU absolutely need it. Not me. Not Will. Not Skuttle. Only you. Got it?
She nods her head and we keep walking. I let go of Candy's hand and put my now there instead.
We come to a room that has Æ marked on it. I look over at Skuttle for a answer but Candy answers instead.
Candy:It mean Ãlloé Èxentro.
I still look at her and she shakes her head.
Candy:It means Food and water here.
I walk in low and see two girls at a table in the back. They look to be seven or eight. A older girl who looks to be twelve walks over and sits with them. I motion is to move closer over there.
Seven:So Maddie, what's happening at noon?
Maddie:(she is the older girl) Quinton said he wants to show how powerful Netho will be once he program's those bodies to kill.
Eight: Lulu and I don't like that it scares us.
Lulu:(seven) Yeah. What he did was gross. Talking dead people and programming them to kill. Ew.
Maddie:Now he wants us to train to kill people. Once I turn fourteen, I have to go to the Mèllone. It sucks going there. Training for more than twenty hours. No breaks or food. Only four hours to sleep.
Candy knocks a can over and the girls look over to us. We are on the ground but I can still see the girls. Maddie pulls out a gun. Lulu and the other girl do too. Whydo they have guns?!
They walk over and I raise my bow just incase.
Maddie:Who's there? We aren't afraid to shoot.
Aura:We aren't either.
I raise up with my bow and look at the girls. The younger ones have on pink and yellow striped dresses. Maddie has a grey uniform on. The gun is shaking in the little girls hands. Maddie looks slightly afraid but steadys herself.
Aura:We need food and water.
Maddie:We need you to leave or else.
Aura:We aren't leaving without food.
Lulu:Why is she bald?
Aura:She is really sick. If we don't get her the medicine she needs...she may die.
Lulu:I don't want her to die. Maddie do you want the little girl to die?
Maddie:No. Fine. Get what you need but then you leave.
Candy:Thank you.
We walk around the room and Lulu hands us a box. I smile and start puting cans in there. Skuttle and Will get water in there while Candy is poking around a cabinet. She comes back with rubbing alcohol and three bottles of wine.
Aura:Why did you get that?
Candy:Rubbing alchahol because it can help heal cuts and stuff. Wine because...just because.
Aura:We don't need the wine.
Skuttle:Sure we do!
He grabs the bottles and the rubbing alcohol from my hands and puts them in the box. I shake my head ad look around for anything else. Nothing. Skuttle grabs the box and we make our way back to the truck.
