Jade

I tripped getting off the bus.

Perfect. I think as I lay on the ground, face half buried in dry dirt. I can hear the guys behind me laughing and whistling but I choose to ignore them, its not like I could fight them even if I wanted to.

Pushing myself up and brushing the dirt from my hair I walked past them and entered the ominous building in front of me. The people from my bus filed in around me and we all waited around like idiots for half an hour, waiting for the next group. Two obnoxious blonds happened to be in that group, and hearing them talk took me all the way back to high school. Great, they're those kinds of people.

Now that I think about though, they both looked to be straight out of high school. One of them asked a really stupid question. It was so stupid that even her little friend gave her a weird look.

Some sergeant came in and tried to scare the shit out of us,  shouting and pointing and being the stereotypical drill sergeant, "OKAY RECRUITS! TODAY IS GOING TO BE THE SHITTIEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE! YOU WILL BE SIGNING UP FOR THE MILITARY BOOT-CAMP WE HAVE SET UP HERE! LINE UP IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER BY LAST NAME, AND PROCEED TO THE DORMS AFTER! DORMS ARE UP FOR GRABS, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, SO MOVE YOUR ASSES IF YOU WANT A DECENT ROOM!"

I would be lying if I said he didn't scare me. Only a little though. Honestly. Whatever.

I signed my name under the M-N for McKenzie, Jade, and made a be line for the girl's dormitorys. I was the first one to the dorms and was able to pick my first choice of the dorms. All of them were bad, but I just the one with the smallest crack in the ceiling, for fear of my safety.

I guess beggers can be choosers.

Just as soon as I sat down to figure out a plan, a blond and brunette barged into the room and threw their stuff onto the bunk beds opposite me, locking the door behind them.

"Finally, I couldn't wait to get away fro-"

"Elaine." The brunette pinched the blond on the upper arm. So the smarter blond's name is Elaine.

"What the fuck, Jenna? I was talking..." Elaine trailed off when her gaze found mine and she fell silent.

"Who the fuck are you?" Elaine narrowed her hazel eyes at me, placing her hands on her hips.

Oh no, I'm sooo scared.

"Who the fuck are you?" I asked her. Two can play at this game.

Elaine ignored the questiom, "this is our room," she gestured to Jenna and looked back at me. "What are you doing in our room?"

"I didn't see a RESERVED sign on the door."

Blondie huffed an exhasperated sigh and I rolled my eyes. This bitch.

"Fine, just stay out of our way, got it?"

"Sure, wouldn't want to be around you anyways." I said, getting up from the single bed covered with a camo quilt. I need somewhere quieter than here to think.

I leave the room, paying no attention to the glares boring into my nack as I passed through the doorway. I wouldn't be surprised if when I came back all my stuff was thrown in the hallway and the door was locked.

"Oh well, no turning back now."

I found myself wandering towards the entrance, where I had first entered this new hell. In the hall double doors were standing wide open, doors that I had not noticed before. Two guys were walking swiftly through the hallway opposite mine, one tall and dark, the other short and light.
