"Please don't tell me I have to go through that again..."

Years ago, way before you met Mark, he had played a game called The Static Speaks My Name. You had only watched the first five seconds before you turned it off.

Suicide was a very sensitive topic for you. Ever since Daniel passed, you couldn't help but tear up over the thought of suicide. You've never considered it, but you just hated thinking about it.

Now your viewers were asking you to play this game. You didn't want to! However, you always did what your viewers asked in order to please them. So, you downloaded the game.

"Mark can you come in here?" You asked.

Mark shuffled into your recording room. "What's up, love?" He asked. You sighed, holding the tears back. "I'm about to play The Static Speaks My Name." You said.

His face went soft. "(Y/N). You really don't have to-"

"I want to. And I called you in here because I want you to be here with me."

He nodded. "Okay. I'll be here the whole time." He said, putting his hand over yours.

You turned on your camera and did your intro. "Hello my little ____! (Y/N) here, back at ya with another video. I'm going to be playing a game that involves a very sensitive topic. And that's why I have my boyfriend, Mark here with me."

Mark waved. "Hello everyone!" He said. "Im here to make sure that (Y/N) has someone just in case she feels like she can't play the game anymore."

"Okay. Let's start."

Midway through the game, you felt confused. "What does this picture mean? I'm so confused..." You kept asking aloud.

"I don't know either. I still don't know!" Mark said.

You read the fifth objective;

"Decide what to do with the... THE MAN IN THE CAGE?" You nearly yelled.

"I know." Mark said.

You moved the character around the house until you reached the bookshelf. "This must be where the caged man is..." You said. You clicked on the book shelf and it opened up. You walked in and looked around.

You saw, once again, the painting. But the trees were colored in with red. And written on the painting was;

Need sleep. Can't sleep. Tired tired tired.

You walked deeper into the room and saw the man in the cage. He had a dog bowl in front of him with shrimp in it. You frowned.

You hovered your cursor over the cage when an option appeared;

Unlock cage. You clicked and the cage unlocked. You felt good about setting that virtual man free.

"I set him free. Go live your life little cage man." You said. Then the read the final objective aloud;

"Return to your room and let your body rest..." You took a deep breath, knowing exactly what that meant.

"Oh, no..." You said softly. "I-I don't want to..."

"It's okay, (Y/N). I'm here." Mark said, putting his hand on yours.

You walked your character slowly back to their room. You looked around and your eyes met the closet.

You opened the door and saw a noose hanging above a chair. Just waiting.

You hovered your cursor above the noose, and an option appeared;

Use noose.

Your eyes filled with tears as you clicked. You watched as your character put their head through the noose, and then saw them jump off the chair.

Tears fell from your eyes as you heard your character gasp for air. Multiple times. You closed your eyes, as if it would've helped drown out the awful noise.

Then the screen went black. That's when you ended up back in the little space galaxy place.

"Please don't tell me I have to go through that again..." You said softly, tears falling from your eyes.

You clicked on another dust ball when the screen went black again.

The Static Speaks My Name had appeared on the screen, and then the credits began to roll in.

You wiped your tears.

"Well guys, that was The Static Speaks My Name. If you or anyone is considering suicide, please call the number you see on your screen. There are people, including me who care about you and love you. Don't ever think about ending your life. Have a good day, and I can't wait to see you guys again. Bye!" You clicked the camera off.

"Are you okay, baby?" Mark asked you.

You shook your head. More and more tears fell down your face.

"Aw. Come here." He said, bringing your body closer to his. He put his arm around you and kissed your head.

"It's sad to think about, I know. I miss Daniel too. But the best thing we can do is be happy. And I am happy because... Well I have you in my life. I love you, (Y/N)."

"I love you too. I'm so happy I have you in my life."
