I ran my hand over the smooth silk of a boxer's costume in the shop. Bex, Ally, and I arrived at Halloween Spirit around 15 minutes ago.
"What do you think?" Bex spun around in a Minnie Mouse costume.
"It's cute!" Ally and I circled her like a pack of sharks. "It's a little big though."
"Yeah, do they have a smaller size?" Ally fixed the bow on the top of Bex's mousy bronze hair.
"No. They only had a small left." Bex frowned.
"We need to find something in an extra small then. We'll help you look." Ally said, taking her hand.
"Okie dokie." Together we searched through the aisles, finally settling on a cute Red Riding Hood costume.
"This would look fabulous with your hair color. And it's in an extra small!" Ally beamed. "Go try it on." She shoved her into the dressing room. 3 minutes later, Bex emerged and twirled around.
"It fits!" She squealed.
I was about to tell her that it would look great, but then I looked to about 15 feet away from me where two girls were looking at costumes. Candice and her best friend, Marzia. If I listened closely, I could hear their conversation. "If that girl who hangs all over him has a better costume than me, I'm going to kill somebody. Nate has to notice me." She started going through the costumes faster. "I need the sexiest costume in the store."
"But he has a girlfriend. I think they really love each other." Marzia squeaked.
"All boys are the same. He has a pair of balls and teenage hormones, right? Besides, he probably just feels sorry for her." She pulled out a thin piece of fabric with a plastic bag attached to it.
"Crybaby." She read the tag. "I'm trying it on." She started walking to the dressing rooms, towards me. Shit, shit. I turned my head away and tuned into to Ally and Bex's conversation.
"Malaki will love it!" Ally pulled up the hood on the cape and fingered the fabric.
"You think? It might be a little too revealing." Bex pulled down the skirt of the dress.
"It's cute. You're so getting it." Candice entered the dressing room a couple doors down from ours. Ally and Bex switched places, and Ally tried on a cute hippie costume. It came with a pair of round glasses, a short flowered dress, and a flowery headband.
"Like it?" Ally asked Bex and I. "I could wear my black sandals with it."
"Yeah, yeah. " I said distractedly. I was more focused on Candice as she posed in the large mirror. The Crybaby costume consisted of a blue, white, and pink leotard with capped sleeves, a pair of white tights, and a little blue baby hat. Oh, and don't forget about the pacifier attached to the top with a piece of string. Candice started putting on the white heels that went with it. When she stood up, I could clearly see a pink bow that was right on top of her ass.
"Nate's going to love this." She turned around and stuck out her butt to the mirror. "I need to make an appointment for a Brazilian tonight."
So that's how she wanted to play it. My face got as red as the cape on Bex's costume in anger. I stalked off to where Candice had gotten her costume.
I pushed costumes back until I saw what I was looking for. I had seen this one earlier and joked to Ally about it.
I didn't even check the price and slammed the door to the dressing room across from Ally. I didn't let myself think before I strutted out.
Bex and Ally stopped in the middle of their conversation, mouths open. "Sexy Harry Potter costume?" Ally said incredulously.
"You don't like it?" I admired myself in the mirror of my stall.
"No, I mean, it's hot, but why?" She then looked over to where Candice was still modeling in the large mirror. "Oh."
Bex just said. "I like it. I would never have the courage to wear it, but I like it."
"Thanks." I said, and went to change out of my outfit.
As I walked to the front to pay for my things, I could feel Candice's eyes on me the whole way.
