Our talk

Alice's P.O.V

We got home and took his new clothes up to Jason's room. We got everything in the car and the t.v from Best Buys and replaced the broken one.

"Okay we're done for the day." We sat on the couch "So what now?" I asked him. He smiled "It's time for our talk."

Now it was my turn to be confused "What did you say?" He chuckled "Its time for our talk princess." he replied smoothly. "Oh okay so what do we talk about?" I asked

"Anything. It's about getting to know each other better." Oh okay. I had both of my legs on the couch "Hmm, okay I'm Alice" I held out my hand.

He shook it with a smile "I'm Blake." He let go "I love sports." He looked lost and I chuckled "Sports is like playing games." he responded with a grin "Oh"

"Tell me more about yourself" I told him. He smiled "Okay. My name is Blake Cross and I love archery. Everyday I practice in the woods without my parents knowing."

"As a kid I was taught to be passionate about life. Find out new things and how they work. But Responsibility became the bigger burden. I was pressured in school by my teachers especially my mother."

His eyes showed no emotion "Especially my mother in marriage. Marriage was everything to her but I hated it. My father taught me to follow what I believe and what my heart feels."

He looked at me "Alice I went in the forest to a place where I'd always go for peace, to rest or practice archery

and that was the day I decided to relax and dove in the waterfall to cool off."

"A strange man appeared and I asked who was there. He took off his Hood and said my name. He said he came to deliver me a gift." His eyes never left mine.

"I asked what the gift was but he gave me a black box. He said I'll understand the purpose of this gift. I opened it and found a golden pocket watch in it. I looked up to see he was gone."

"I decided to head home with the prestigious gift when Laura was there." Laura? His girlfriend? Figures since he was good looking. He smiled

"Laura was one of those who was to be engaged to me but I refused." He seemed happy about it and for some reason so did I. "I hated the way she'd make us look like we were in love. Truth was I never felt anything for her."

"I'll admit I fancied her when we were children but that feeling died a long time ago when I overheard her talk with one of the maids. She only wanted the money and the power to rule the kingdom. Easier said than done watching her yell at every girl who just wanted to say hello to me."

"She pecked my cheek, I wiped it away telling her to stop acting like we were a couple but she said that if we were gonna become a couple in the near future we must act the part. I didn't want that so I walked away."

I was relieved he did. "She then replied that she knows I want her and that I should stop pretending. I chuckled and asked her who told her that lie and that she keeps throwing herself at me." I chuckled a little.

"I dried myself up and changed into fresh clothes and laid in bed. I watched the sun set and while it did I opened the golden pocket watch the stranger gave me and it had a poem engraved on it."

He smiled "I can still remember it just by looking at you Alice." I felt a faint blush warming my cheeks.
