"Yes, darling... Everything is perfectly fine."
Scarlet Carter talked through the telephone that sounded as though she was stuttering. "Oh, you want to move the couch...? Yeah. Just make sure to avoid pushing from the left or else it'll break down. What do you mean are we in trouble with Xander driving?" The car drifted right and made her bump her head on the window. Lyanna made a flow of electricity go from her wand and into the muggle telephone. (Where did the signal come from? 😂)
"Are you sure you don't need assistance? Again?" Severus asked with concern. "I told you, we're fine..." Scarlet replied, saying it like it was a question. "It sounds like a storm out there."
"Er, yeah, that must be the radio," she glanced at Xander, mouthing 'what do we do?!'
"Oh, um, Silencio" he whispered. The charm worked and the car's window didn't allow the noise outside to get in. Everything dropped unusually and deadly silent. "And what a surprise Mr. Smith, because the next time you place a silencing charm on that Ford Anglia, make sure you sound silent as well." Xander stared at the telephone with wide eyes. "Hiya, Professor Snape. Yup, Scarlet is in safe hands..." His voice trailed off awkwardly.
"How 'bout me?!" Lyanna shouted from the back of the car. "Good evening as well to you, Mrs. Roberts." Severus greeted Lyanna who flushed the darkest red in embarrassment. "Please... Me and Ford aren't married yet."
"Well then, I hope you're not in a fatal situation right now. I'll see you in school, darling."
Lyanna squealed. "He seriously calls you 'darling' with that voice though!" She giggled, and glanced at Xander. Her voice changed. "Xander... Don't- don't go for that cloud... That's a rain cloud, avoid it!"
"Oh dingle dangle dongle likkity doo likkity da bing bong lippy tappy too tah, Lyanna. Shut up, because I can handle this."
Scarlet and Lyanna looked at Xander quietly until Severus' voice broke the silence. "Are you still sure the three of you are alright?"
(dingle dangle dongle likkity doo likkity da bing bong lippy tappy too tah minutes later...)
"XANDER, ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US KILLED?!?!" Scarlet screamed from the top of her lungs while her head bumped onto the car window. Again. "Of c-course I am! Don't you s - Oh can't you see I'm trying to fly this effing thing the way out of here?!" Xander bellowed as his hands steered the wheel left.
The blue and fixed Ford Anglia was flying through a storm cloud, avoiding all the lightning bolts, and wiped it's window wipers like crazy. Lyanna Roberts was at the back of the car with an owl. Scarlet by the passenger seat. And Xander at the driver's chair.
"XANDER! GET US O-O-OUT OF HERE!! NOW!!!" roared Lyanna, shaking on her seat. "We're going to g-get to Hogwarts! I pr-promise!" shouted Xander promisingly, that Scarlet definitely knew he was lying. "Why did you fly us into the storm cloud then, when Lyanna CLEARLY told you to AVOID it?!" she asked, grasping onto her seat belt for dear life. "Hah, yeah, 'people that behave rarely make history'!" Though Xander knew it was the worst time and place to laugh. "WELL HECK YEAH, THAT'S WHY THEY'RE IN HISTORY, IDIOT! THEY DIED! AND WE'RE ABOUT TO GO TO HISTORY IF YOU DON'T GET US THE FUCK OUT OF HERE! AND GET AWAY FROM THAT CLOUD!!!"
The bright blue car turned a sharp turn to avoid a struck of lightning and Scarlet almost fell onto Xander's seat. "W-W-Were just a bit farther! We'll be there by the minuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
"God, take me now before this driver of-a-moron-we-have will kills us..."
Well, who knew that it would be fun working at the place you started.
Xander was now the Flying Teacher, replacing Madam Hooch, even though the job only teaches the first years. Miss Carter, herself, works as the Potions Mistress of Hogwarts. Being outstanding in most classes in Potions, she taught alongside her professor, rescuer... and well, boyfriendFinally after a few minutes, the rain was starting to soften, and the lights of the castle can be spotted while raindrops fall from the dark sky. Hogsmeade, was blinding with its lights, and the Hogwarts Express was parked along the track. The wide Black Lake was filled with boats ridden by the first years with a Rebeus Hagrid -hogging two boats for himself- on the very front, leading them. Meanwhile, the carriages pulled by the school's thestrals, walked along the trees with second to seventh years admiring the lanterns placed up on the trees. The sound of the car's engine roared as the car was flying straight, not towards the courtyard, but for somewhere else... familiar.
"TURN RIGHT! TURN RIGHT!! THAT'S THE WHOMPING WILLOW!!! TURN RIGHT!" commanded Lyanna, as Scarlet impatiently unlocked her seat belt with her heart beating out of her chest. "I-I can't! The wheel's stuck!" Xander replied, banging onto the car horn. The headlights were flashing on and off, with the wheels rolling the opposite way, but nothing was helping them stop the damn car. "Out of all the days the car can crash, it chose to-!"
"For Xander's sake, Lyanna just please cast a charm on the car!" Scarlet shouted.
"What was that spell again? Something Hermione knew?! Oh, um, Wingardium LeviOsa!"
Within an inch to the Willow's branch, the car stopped just in time. The car and tree were separated by an inch from each other. Everybody sighed with relief, and Xander turned the car around to the direction of the courtyard.
At the courtyard waiting for the trio's arrival, were Professor Felixa and Professor McGonagall. Felixa was softly tapping her foot to the ground when she whispered: "Minerva... in a case of you riding a flying Ford Anglia with a group of three people, what would you say most likely happen if the driver lost control and is heading for a destructive tree?"
"Crash, of course." The headmistress replied exasperatedly. "Then you know what's else?" She asked as she turned her head to her, "a coincidence." As if the world planned it, the car crashed right in front of the two witches. Minerva rolled her and both women did not pay the slightest attention to the car nor the three people crawling out of the blue Ford Anglia weakly and groaning in pain.
"Good evening to you three. I expect you to be in the Great Hall in less than an hour." Minerva greeted, and walked inside with Flora.
"Lyanna, next time you drive."
"You think the thought never came while Xander was basically trying to drive through hell? Now, go on. You need to get ready. Besides, aren't you going to handle the first years with the Dungeon Bat?"
