And as the loud bell that alarmed it was curfew, all the lights lit up in alarm, as a terrible scream can be heard somewhere in the heart of the Forbidden Forest.

Scarlet's eyes widened in horror as Severus' body landed on the floor with a thud. Her lips was shaking and tears were streaming down her face. Finally, she let out all the pain she could release.

Her scream alarmed everybody wandering around the Forbidden Forest, searching for the two. The stranger, looking so shocked at not only at the mistake he made but also at Scarlet, backed away for a moment before making a run for it.

She didn't know what to do now. It was like feeling so lightheaded that you wanted to faint. Scarlet's knees weakened and she fell to the ground beside Severus. A gasp escaped her lips when her eyes landed on the burnt mark in his chest, which was where the stranger's spell must've ended.

But he was still alive. He had to be.

In the back of her mind, she very well knew this wasn't the time to chase after the man, but the more furious side got the best of her.

"Professor Carter! Scarlet, what happened?! Was that you who scre-" asked Mcgonagall, surprised as ever to see Severus lying on the ground with Scarlet crying. "Goodness... Rubeus! Bring Severus to the Hospital Wing quickly!" She watched Scarlet and noticed something about her eyes. Her Fortis Viribus powers were making her eyes glow intensely purple.

"Scarlet, I need you to calm down," she turned her head around to find the rest of the staff rushing towards them with the Head Boy and Girl, "so just- Carter!" Before anyone can grab her, Scarlet was already on her feet and chasing the man who did this to Severus. Merlin knows what state Severus was in, but he still hurt him until he was knocked out unconscious, and that was enough to infuriate her. I mean, he could've died! Trying to save her! Again!

Quickly scanning the forest, there was quick footsteps from her left, and she ran faster than normal without even thinking. She was a few steps behind him. This was it. She was going to kill someone again because they tried to kill her. "Come back here! You... You monster! Kill me, but don't you dare hurt anyone I care about!" she bellowed.

Her attention was at nothing but at the man. Fortis Virus flames shot out of her hands that fired across the forest. The man turned around and used his staff to deflect the fire nearly burning him. She dodged them, while someone behind her was probably putting out the fire that caught on a few trees.

"You did this to yourself!" the man finally shouted back, running deeper into the forest while jumping on a few roots twisting in the ground. He knew this was making her more angry, but instead, she seemed to have been weakening, herself. "If only you let him run off, but you had to let him save you, right Little-Wolf-Pup?"

"Don't you dare! This is... This is all your fault!"

"But it's yours as well."

He turned to a swift left to stop running. This was a good spot to halt. He recognized a huge tree unlike the other trees and stared at a headstone underneath it. Two headstones underneath a Weeping Willow. But he knew the witch wouldn't even see it, for she was too focused on hurting him than her own life.

Scarlet, breathing heavily, caught up with him with her fists curled into a ball. He now noticed how bright her eyes were and smiled at the thought of how angry he was making her feel. Yes... she was beginning to be powerful...
