A Romantic Chase

"SCARLET!"

"Get in here!" a raspy and harsh voice said as it wrapped its arm around Scarlet's mouth, and disappeared into the Forbidden Forest with her in his hold.

Severus shouted his lover's name, and froze for a second before running into that darn Forest.

"Argh- get off me-!" Scarlet bellowed, taking manners into her own hands and grabbed her wand. "Sectumsepra!" she yelled, blasting a hex at whoever it bloody was. It seemed like a man. "Put. Me. Down!" Her scream in his ears was enough to make a person drop her, but his grip on her just began to tighten.

She was squirming like a wild animal wrapped around a rope. "SEVERUS!" he was beginning to be irritated with her already. "WHAT DO YOU WANT, YOU IMBECILE?!" Her hand burned with fire as she touched what seemed to be shirt. "Stop it, witch! I'm taking you far, and once those Fortis Viribi powers are mine, you'll be reunited with that idiot who is as stupid enough to leave you alone seconds at a night like this." the man said. Her eyes widened.

"Fortis V-...? They... The powers can only be taken... if you kill them! LET ME GO! PUT ME DOWN! SEVERUS! SECTUMSEPRA!"

"SCARLET!" Severus shouted, as he ran after the stranger who took her. How did someone get onto grounds so easily? Besides that... what would they want with his witch? He was sure he succeeded in shoving away all those morons who have failed to win his lover's heart, but he didn't know there were wizards that were this desperate. Being more surprised by the witch, she could fight off the boys by herself and come back to him with no one else but Severus Snape in her heart!

"SCARLET!" Severus still shouted until he saw a figure running. "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" The spell hit whoever it was squarely at the back and it froze, dropping something. After hearing a familiar shriek, his feet automatically carried him towards her. "Scarlet-"

"Severus!" she gasped and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I thought you were hurt or something!" she added, looking straight into his eyes.

Severus stared at her in a confused manner. "Me? You were scared that I would be hurt, when someone kidnapped you?!" They both turned to the man and zapped another spell before turning to face each other again. The kidnapper fell dead in the ground for a while. "Well, why not? Who knows what they can do to you? Hell knows I'll be worried. What could happen they do to you that can be worse? What do you expect me to do when I get back to see my boyfriend is dead, hmm?"

He mused at how much she cared for him... but cannot compare how much pain it will cost him if he lost another loved one again. "Shouldn't you be worried about your life?" He asked while arching an eyebrow. "This isn't a fairy-muggle-princess story, darling! This half-blood princess does not need saving," Severus' eyes never looked away from her as she talked, "I thought that's what I told you when you found me in the woods trying to get you away from being killed. You're not my father. And I certainly prioritize your life more than mine."

"Wh-"

"Shush."

"Don't you dare shush me, Scarlet, because I swear-"

"No. Seriously. Don't move."

Severus stood still as a bony-like finger traveled his neck. "Get your hand away from my boyfriend." Scarlet muttered angrily, her eyes piercing at the one behind the Potions Master. "Very sweet, little sugar plum -"

"I said: get. away... from. my. boyfriend." The hand lifted from his neck and pointed at Scarlet. "Overprotective? I never expected you to be like that. And what a nice surprise! It's not everday I see a couple in the middle of the woods. Can't you just feel the love tonight..." Severus whirled around furiously. A little light from his face drained as a man with bony features faced down him with a creepy smile. His white-grey hair was in a messy way and rosy flesh was covered with a cloak, loosely wrapped around heavy clothing on a fall night. "You dare kidnap her! Avada K-"

"Sev! No!" Scarlet shouted, making Sev lower his wand. "Thank you for stopping me from being murdered, Carter, but you see I'm incapable of dying just like that. It's useless. Not from some weak-ass spell. Unless a dozen of wands were here, but I don't see any." The man said. He backed away slowly then walked towards Scarlet.

Severus' hand quickly grabbed Scarlet first after the strange man tried to wrap a hand around her wrist. "I will alarm the entire forest, and believe me, you will be sent to Azkaban fo-"

"What? Weak-Wreck-Azkaban jail for a fun two minute chase and a talk with your girlfriend, Severus Tobias Snape?" A smile flashed across his face triumphantly. "How-"

"Let's get things to the action, can't we? Hi ho hi hurry up." His hand slid into his robe and a tall staff (staff-stick) pointed towards Scarlet's forehead. "We don't want the clock to strike twelve so quickly. So... who should we start with? The Beast?" His staff went for Severus. "Or the Belle of the ball, ma chérie?" In a blink of an eye, an arm was choking Scarlet's throat.

"Sc-"

"Make a noise, and ye girl's dead."

"..."

"Very good." He let her go, and Scarlet coughed on the ground. "What is it that you want?" He smirked. "Your powers, darling. If only your Prince Charming weren't here to 'save you', I would've done that seconds ago," he paced around while polishing his staff with a hand, "but we could settle with the new plans. I won't mind a couple to be murdered in such a sweet night..." His eyes flickered at the ring. "Is that a ring I see on thy finger?"

Scarlet noticed Severus wrapped his hand in hers protectively. "You won't be killing her tonight." Severus said through gritted teeth.
