Chapter 17

Abigail's pov
"Here, try that." Stiles said handing malia one of Scott's shirts. Stiles called me earlier and said to meet him at Scott's.
"Fabric softener." Malia said.
"Why am I here again ?" I asked
"Liam told Scott about what you are, I overheard thought you could help" Malia said
"There's this thing called privacy Malia you should really look it up" I said she shrugged.
Stiles realizes that they can't use clean clothes to get Scott's scent, so he rushes to the bathroom and opens the hamper. He pulls out a pair of boxers, but Malia just makes a face at him.
"Gross" I said
"Remember, Scott's life is on the line." Stiles said
Instead Malia turns and grabs a pillow from Scott's bed and sniffs it
"Yeah. That works, too."stiles said. We head downstairs to find Liam waiting for us.
"You told him?" Stiles asked looking at me
"I had to" I said
"God damn puppy love" stiles whispered.
"Liam, go home. You're not coming with us." Stiles said.
"Why not? " Liam asked
"Because it's a full moon.And I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just to have you rip my throat out." Stiles said
"You can lock me up, right? Chain me down to the back seat or something?" Liam said
"You tore through the last chains, remember?" Malia said
"Yeah, we would have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there." Stiles said
"Okay, then where do we get carbonite?" Liam asked
"Seriously, you haven't seen it either?" Stiles asked
"It was a Star Wars reference baby" I said to Liam
"What if we put me in the trunk?" Liam asked
"You'd get out of that, too. Liam, you've been a werewolf all of five minutes. You don't have to do this." Stiles said
"I know I don't, but I want to. There's gotta be bigger chains, a bigger trunk or something. There has to be." Liam said
"Maybe there is." Stiles said. I could basically see the lightbulb glowing above his head.

Stiles, Malia, Liam an I meet Derek and Braeden in a warehouse. Braeden got a prison transport van.
"How did you get a prison transport van?" Stiles asked
"I'm a U.S. Marshal." Braeden said
"Yeah, I just thought that was just a cover." Stiles said as a car door closes.
"Are we really bringing him?" Derek asked referring to Liam. I grabbed Liam's hand there was no way I was going without him.
"Are we really bringing him?" Stiles asked referring to Peter
"We're bringing everyone that we can.And considering Scott and Kira were taken the night before a full moon, we should probably get going." Peter said
"What's that mean?" I asked
"If Kate took Scott back to the same temple that she took Derek, how do we know she's not planning to do the same thing to him?" Peter said
"What, she wants to make him younger?" Stiles asked
"Or take him back to when he wasn't a werewolf." Derek said
"A werewolf can't steal a true Alpha's power. But maybe a Nagual jaguar, with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her..." Peter said
"Maybe she can." Derek said
"So, if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get going." Peter said
"We can't. Not without Lydia." Stiles said

In the garage, Stiles calls Lydia again while Peter paces. I'm holding Liam's hand with one hand the other is rubbing up and down on his arm, trying to make sure he stays calm.
"What's she doing at the school anyway?" Derek asks
"We got Kira's sword, but we need something with a stronger scent. Lydia went to get a jacket out of her locker." Malia said
"Nothing." Stiles said
"If she has a car, she can catch up to us." Braeden said
"That's a good point. We'll call her from the road." Peter said
"No. What if something happened?What if she's in trouble?" Stiles said
"Fine. You stay, you find her. We're gonna go on without you." Peter said
"I could call Mason. He has a study group at school. Maybe he could look for her."Liam said
"All right. Fine." Stiles said.
"Remember what we're dealing with. It's not just Kate, it's Berserkers. You might see human eyes behind those skulls. Do not assume that there's any humanity left." Peter says Liam squeezes my hand.
"Oh. This little one is terrified of them, aren't you? Don't worry, my friend. It is that fear that will keep you alive." Peter said to Liam I gave him a death glare before turning and kissing Liam on the temple.
"A reminder to everyone. You do not fight Berserkers to survive, you fight to kill." Peter said. Braeden, Derek, stiles and Liam go to a van me following.
"Nope" stiles says putting a hand out in front of me
"What?" I said
"Your not riding with us" stiles said
"What? why not?" Liam asked
"It's to dangerous you could hurt her Liam"stiles said
"Your human stiles I'm not, if someone's going to get hurt its you. I suggest you get out of my way" I said threateningly.
"Fine. But your riding in front with breaden." Stiles said
"Fine with me" I said giving Liam I kiss on the cheek
"I'll be right in the front okay?" I said to Liam. He nodded and I pecked his lips before getting in the front with breaden.
"I like you" breaden said smiling at me.

Derek locks Liam down with handcuffs, as I watch from the front.
"All good?" Derek asks Liam. Liam tests the handcuffs.
"Okay. I brought something to help you. This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful, supernatural talisman. We use it to teach Betas how to control themselves on a full moon." Derek said before looking at stiles.
"Yes, it's powerful. " stiles says then he clears his throat
"very powerful" he says.
"Will you hold his hand for me?" I ask stiles. Him and Liam turn and give me a weird look.
"Ok, fine, don't then." I said

Braeden checks on Derek, Stiles, and Liam in the back of the van and Liam suddenly jerks in pain. His claws are out, and he grips the triskellion tightly.
"Whatever you're going to teach me, I think you better start," he says to Derek. Groaning in pain. It hurt so bad to see him like this.
Kiras pov
In La Iglesia, I am on the ground, wounded. I hear my mother talking to me
"It's all right to cry. It's no measure of your strength." Noshiko says.
"But I'm not strong. I need to get up. I need to tell them..." I said
"How do you know you can't?" Noshiko asked
"Because I'm not healing. You told me why I never get sick. And you said I'd learn to heal." I said
"Then learn." Noshiko said
"I can't. I don't know how... How to start. Or what to do..." I said
"I told you once that foxes and wolves tend not to get along. But they are similar creatures, aren't they? You've seen wolves heal. How do they do it? Kira, how do they trigger it?" Noshiko said
"Pain. With pain." I said breathing heavily. I smash an obsidian pane next to me and grabs a piece of glass. I squeeze it, making myself bleed more, and my eyes glow orange.
Liam's pov
"Liam, you with me?" Derek asks I nod
"We have a mantra that we use. You repeat it, you focus on the words. It's like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you." Derek said
"Okay. Okay, okay! What are the words?" I asked gripping my hands tightly together
"Okay, look at the triskelion. See the symbol? I have a tattoo on my back, it's the same thing. Each spiral means something. Alpha, Beta, Omega. It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another. Betas can become Alphas. Alphas can become Betas." Derek said
"Can Alphas become Omegas?" I asked Derek nodded
"All you have to do is say the three words. And with each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead." Derek said
"Alpha, Beta..." I said
"Slower." Derek responded
Alpha... Beta...Omega..." I said groaning
"Alpha...Beta...Omega..." I said
"Good. Say it again.Remember, every time you say the words, you're getting calmer" Derek said
"Alpha, Beta...Omega." I said still groaning
"Say it again." Derek said
"Derek, I don't think the powerful talisman of self-control is working." Stiles said
"Liam, say it again!" Derek said. I respond by roaring. I feel my eyes glow, and I lunge toward Derek, roaring. It throws the van around, and then I Break the handcuffs and go for Derek as Derek wrestles with me
"Liam!" Derek yells
"Derek?" Breaden calls back in concern
"I think we're gonna need to go a little faster." Stiles said as Derek tries to hold Me off.
"Keep going!" Derek says to breaden
"Derek, I don't think Alpha, Beta, Omega is resonating with him." Stiles said
"You know any other mantras?" Derek asks still trying to hold me off
"Yeah. I do. Liam, Liam. What three things cannot long be hidden? Liam Liam, look at me.What three things cannot long be hidden? What three things?" Stiles says I grunt.
"Sun... The moon... The truth." I say still groaning in pain.
"Say it again." Stiles said
"Sun, the moon... The truth." I said reaching to try and get stiles growling
"Got any better ideas" Derek yells
"Not really" stiles says.
"Liam" a soft voice gasped out as I go to claw stiles face just missing. I turn my head to the front and see Abigail looking at me. I feel my eyes stop glowing for a second as I look at her, before glowing again
"Abigail talk to him" stiles said making her turn to look at him
"What?" She asked in the most angelic voice I've ever heard
"Talk to him" stiles said
"Liam" she said again turning back to me and putting her hand against the bars.
"You can do this. I believe in you" Abigail said I felt myself calm down as she said that.
"Derek?" Breaden called back
"We're okay." Derek said letting of my wrists
"Focus on Abigail" Derek told me. I turned back to find her smiling at me.
"I knew you could do it" she said.

As we arrive at La Iglesia Liam starts to speak.
"I can't believe I did it.For a minute there, I thought I was gonna tear the two of you apart."
"Yeah. That would've made for an awkward ride home. So, thanks." Stiles said
"Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?" Derek asked I flicked my claws showing him I had control.
"All right. We might actually be able to do this." Stiles said. Abigail giggled from the front.
