I woke up many times last night, due to me almost getting frostbite, so I was a bit grumpy in the morning. Especially when I get woken up by a wolf howling right in my ear. I wanted punch that smug look off of that wolf's face.

"I swear, if you do that again,I will punch you so hard, you'll be seeing stars. Got it?" I snap at the wolf, but he jogged happily back to Lupa's side. Don't be angry, child. At the moment, you are the lowest in our pack, untill you prove your worth and position, said Lupa.

I prop myself up on my elbows and say, "Good morning to you, too." Good morning, demigod. Now, get up. You have much to do today. I sighed and lazily got to my feet. "I'm hungry," I mumble, rubbing my eyes. Well, then it's a good thing I am just aboit to start teaching you. We are going to go hunt breakfast later.

My heart dropped. "Hunt? As in raw meat kind of hunt?" I ask, really hoping that she would say, Nah, I'm just kidding! We'll stop by McDonalds, but of course she didn't. Yes, demigod. You are part of the pack now so now you must act like it.

"And, uh, what are you going to teach me?" If a wolf could frown, Lupa did. How to use a bow and a sword! You are a demigod you must learn how to use any kind of weapon in a battle, whether it be a sword or a hammer. If you succeed at the end of the next month, I will reward you, She said calmly.

I frowned. Only 2 months?! That was insane! "But what about Camp Jupiter?! Doesn't that place train me?" I cried. No! I do! They do not have the patience that I have to teach such spoiled demigods, Lupa growled. I didn't find that comment very fair.

All I wanted was to be treated like a human! "Fine! Just give me the damn sword," I snap. We will start with a bow and arrows, Lupa replied calmly and a silver bow and quiver full of arrows appeared at my feet. I picked it up and strapped the strap that held the quiver diagonally down my shoulder.

Then I bent down and picked up my bow. It was breath taking. It had a silver and golden grip and the wood was silver. Golden patterns were ingraved along the bow. Lupa instructed me on how to hold it properly and how to aim. In the few minutes of her teaching me, I already began to realise what a great teacher sge really was.

I grabbed an arrow from quiver and aimed at a tree trunk. Most of the pack was watching from the safety of the cave, while Lupa sat on top of the cave. Pulled the arrow back and quietly aimed for the trunk. I let out a soft breath just as I released it.

I completely missed the target. I lowered my bow in dismay. "I aimed for it, just like you said I must!" I cried, turning to Lupa." I did everything you said I must!" Lupa almost smiled and replied calmly, Failure is never final, my dear. I know you did everything I asked, so all you need to do now is keep practicing.

Keep breathing calmly and relax as you take the shot. There you go, loosen up by your shoulders, she encouraged me as I aimed once more. This time I did hit the trunk and I almost did a happy dance. I turned to Lupa and she almost smiled at me.

The rest of the pack barked in congrats. I kept shooting untill I hit a bullseye. Then I did do a happy dance, but my muscles were aching and my stomach was begging to be fed. I pleaded and pleaded untill Lupa finally gave in and we ran all the way to McDonald's for lunch.

This time I didn't run into any trees or trip over anything. Noddy badge for me. Lupa made me buy the pack chicken nuggets, just to taste if they are any better than real chicken. Apparently not. Lupa immediately spat it out with a cry, That is revolting! I demand you buy me chicken wings from KFC!!

I started laughing so hard, I had tears running down my face, but apparently Lupa didn't understand why this was so funny. What is wrong with you, child?! What's so funny?!

I could only shake my head, but in the end I did buy it for her, and she enjoyed it way more that the nuggets. Hmm, this I am able to swallow. Neither can beat real chicken, though, she claimed and the pack howled in agreement.

I nodded and said, "Come on. We should go. People are starting to stare. But we are not running, okay?" Lupa thought about it and finally agreed. Alright. I will give you 40 minutes when we get home to fully digest your lunch and then we start with swordfighting. I agreed and started walking back.

Swordfighting went a little worse than archery, with Lupa deciding to stop and continue tomorrow when I nearly impaled myself with my own sword. By then it was already getting dark so Lupa decided that I should rest.

She allowed me to sleep in the cave, but not with the pack just yet. I had a fitful sleep and a strange dream.

I was standing on a hill in a dark place. The little grass that grew at my feet was black and dry. A river of dark grey water flowed at the foot of the hill. Then I noticed a dark haired boy, sitting next to me. He looked up at me and our eyes met.

His eyes were so black that you couldn't see his irises and his skin so pale it was almost white, yet he was still quite handsome. He frowned and asked," Who are you? I haven't see you before." Then he raised an eyebrow and asked again," Are you dead?"
