-CHAPTER 1-

KATE'S POV

"Kate! Wake up! Quick!" My eyes fluttered open.

I saw my sister, Kris, crying her eyes out. I sat up instantly and pulled her in a hug.

"What happened?" she looked up to me, tears filling her eyes

"Uhh...Mom and Dad" I shushed her.

She didn't need to say more. I already knew what was wrong. I held her close to me until she fell asleep. I let her lay down on my bed. I looked down at her angelic face and thought ho an 8-year old who looked so peaceful in her sleep could wake up in a harsh reality that seemed like a horrible nightmare.

My vision started to get blurry as I felt tears roll down my cheek. I wipe them away as I tiptoed out of my room. I could hear my parents arguing in the kitchen. I ran towards them. I could feel my anger rising with each step.

"Nothing happened! She's just my client!" my dad shouted to my mom.

"She better be! Cause right now she seems more like a wife to you than I am!"

"Will you both shut up?!" they both stared at me with wide eyes. I couldn't control myself and I screamed at both of them.

"Can't you see that our family is falling apart because of you?! Don't you know that Kris has been crying herself to sleep every night since both of you started fighting?! Sometimes I just want to run away and leave but I can't coz I can't handle the thought of leaving Kris here with you two." I couldn't stop the tears from falling so I just ran out the door not caring where I was going. I sprinted as far as I could then I felt myself falling to the ground.

ZAYN'S POV

While Harry and I were on our way to the hotel to meet up with the boys, we saw a figure of someone on the ground. We went closer then we realized that it was a girl who was crying. I went up to her.

"Are you alright?" then she looked up to face me.

I was struck by how beautiful she was. I couldn't help but stare at her for a long time. She had beautiful brown hair and as I stared at her brown eyes, I felt a sharp pain pierce through my heart as I could see the sadness in them.

I broke out of my trance as Harry helped her up and asked her if she wanted to talk to us about her problem. She simply nodded and we sat by the sidewalk and she started to tell us what happened.

HARRY'S POV

She was gorgeous. When she would look at me, I could feel my heart skipping a beat. I saw the way Zayn looked at her and I knew that he felt the same way about her.

After she told us what happened, she buried her face in her hands. I felt sorry for her. I rubbed her back and said "Don't worry, everything's gonna be okay."

I wanted to wrap my arms around her until she would feel better but I know that Zayn wouldn't like it so I tried to fight the urge to do it. She stood up and did something that made my cheeks go red.

KATE'S POV

As I stood up, I realized that I just made a huge mistake. I just told two random guys my secret. I never told anyone about my family problems not even my bestfriends, Audrey and Kim.

I suddenly hugged the two guys who comforted me. WHY DID I DO THAT?! I instantly let go of them.

I noticed that they were both really good looking. One of them had curly hair and gorgeous green eyes while the other had tan skin and stunning hazel eyes. I snapped out of my daydream and I start to run away as fast as I can.

I stopped when I arrive in front of my house. I went to my room not bothering where my parents were. My sister was still sleeping so I got my Ipod and start to play the first song on my list. I couldn't help but think about the two boys. I know I t was rude to just run away like that after what they did for me. But it's not as if I'll ever see them again.

I feel my body sway along with the music. I look at the title of the song. It was "One Thing" by One Direction. Audrey and Kim are obsessed with them. Besides their songs and names, I don't really know anything more about them. I feel myself slowly drift to sleep.
