The wind danced through the strands of Yurio's silky, blonde hair (now grown out) as he sat on his hotel balcony. It was quite chilling, air not yet taking the leap from spring to summer despite it being early June. It didn't really matter; Yurio was more fond of cold weather anyway.

He was sitting down, looking out at all the people below, thinking of nothing and everything at once. Mindless thoughts flitted through his head as he simply watched the world unfold underneath his gaze. Men and women, children and teenagers, dogs and cats, all having somewhere to go. They all looked like ants up from the eighth story, and Yurio couldn't help but think of them that way. All ants, the world teeming with them, each with their own job and place.

But one teensy ant caught his attention-- a leather-jacket-clad man, riding atop a jet-black motorcycle, pulling up to the hotel. Yurio squinted his eyes in hopes of getting a better view to fully discern who he was looking at, but no cigar.

This man was beginning to resemble a memory he was partial to forget, someone who Yurio didn't despise yet didn't quite like, either-- Otabek Altin. They hadn't seen each other for over a year, the last time being at the 2016 Grand Prix Final.

His eyes followed Otabek's movements, watching him remove his helmet and turn off the motorcycle before heading towards the hotel entrance. Yurio huffed and stood up abruptly, shutting the door with a loud bang behind him as he went back inside.

"Hmmph," he muttered angrily, flopping face-first on his white bed. Yurio supposed that it wasn't really that big of a deal; it was not as if Otabek was of importance to him. He knew why he was here, and all that mattered was completing this camp.

"Yurio!!!" A thick and excited voice rang from the hallway. Yurio annoyedly stood up and answered the door, not at all surprised by the people greeting him.

"Aw, Yurio! You've grown so much!" Viktor and Yuuri both engulfed him in a hug tighter than a python squeezing its victims. Yurio squirmed out of their hold uncomfortably and gave them a death glare. He held his pissed-off stare continuously as a way of asking them why they were here.

Viktor's face lit up brightly and he leaned in for another hug, only to be pushed off immediately.

"We wanted to come say 'hi' to our," he sniffed melancholically, "son, at least before anyone else saw you." Yuuri began to talk as well, but Yurio cut him off.

"I am not your damn son! You may be soulmates, but you can't just both proclaim me your--"

"Yuriooooooo, stop being a whiny-face."

"Whinyface? What in the world is a whiny-face? You better shut your crusty mouth before--" Viktor placed a large palm over Yurio's mouth, chiding him for threatening his 'parents'. The young boy rolled his icy eyes and licked the hand, causing Viktor to jump back in disgust. Yurio stepped back and casually looked to his left: it was darkening outside, turning from a fresh-wave pastel blue to a deep mauve with hasty streaks of blueberries scattered among the city lights. He turned to the elevator and stalked over, pressing the downwards arrow.

Viktor and Yuuri came to either side of him, glancing at his face quizzically.

"Hey! Wait up." Yuuri frowned, "We may seem overly enthusiastic, but we care about you-- don't just ignore us!" Yurio bit his tongue to keep himself from being a brat and calling Yuuri a katsudon pig-- a real feat-- and instead sighed stubbornly.

"I-- I'm going to dinner. It looks like about time to go."

Viktor leaned back slightly and grinned at Yuuri, who returned the grin back. They were ecstatic that the typically indignant teen was actually tolerating them, something that rarely happened in their past meetings. Both men, feeling accomplished, linked hands and said a quick goodbye to Yurio, walking off in the direction they had come. He didn't bother calling after them; if they had somewhere else to be, he did not particularly care.
