Stormie's P.O.V
"Yeah mom, I think it went great" Ross called telling me about the CPS meeting.
"How is Ryan?" I asked
"He's fine, he's swimming with Rocky and Ryland" he replied
"Okay honey, I have good news, your father and I are coming home tomorrow. Your mamoo decided to come take care of the kids so we can come home sooner" I smiled
"Sounds great mom! I gotta go, see you tomorrow!" Ross says quickly then hung up
Something is up...I heard it in the tone of his voice...
"Who was that?" Mark asks from the kitchen
"It was Ross, the CPS meeting went great!" I exclaimed
"Thats amazing! I knew the kids can handle themselves" he smiled pulling me into a hug, "are you excited to go home tomorrow?"
"I am" I replied, "can't wait to see my babies again"
Riker's P.O.V
I drove down Hollywood Boulevard, the warm L.A air brushed against my arm. The sun was already setting, I've been out for 3 hours...
All I could think about was when William Lance took Ryan, we suspect that he's the uncle that mom told us about but we can't be sure. I'm relieved that he didn't hurt him but it really showed us just how easily Ryan could be taken...just in the snap of a finger and he was gone...
I went to In n Out burger and got dinner for everyone. By the time I got home, Ryan was in the living room with Ross and everyone else was upstairs.
"Look who's home" Ross smiled when he saw me. Ryan looked up and smiled too, "papa!"
"Hey buddy, I got dinner" I smiled holding up the burger bag, I think Ross was more excited than Ryan since he started jumping around. Everyone else came downstairs at the sound of all the commotion.
While we ate, Ross told us about mom and dad coming home tomorrow. Which was perfect since we're all busy tomorrow and was trying to figure out who can take Ryan. Rydel has to teach a dance class at "The Rage", Rocky has to go to the record label with Ryland and Ratliff to discuss a East Coast Tour. I have another "Glee" shoot and Ross has "Austin & Ally"
I couldn't help but stare at Ryan, he sat in his high chair eating his small burger like nothings wrong with the world. That's a thing I guess, you are more oblivious to life's struggles when you're younger. I just want to make sure he has a good life from now on...we all do, the tattoo is a constant reminder of the life he had before...I hate it.
"Where's Ratliff?" I asked suddenly realizing he's missing a family dinner
"Don't know, he said he was gonna be back, remember?" Ryland says pickup his second burger.
"He'll come as soon as he smells the food" Rydel jokes and we all bursted out laughing.
*5 Hours Later*
I woke up at 2am and went downstairs to get water. On my way back, I noticed the front door was open, Ellington's keys were still in the lock. I grabbed his keys and locked the door, then I heard some muttering upstairs. He wasn't in Rydel's room, he wasn't in Ross' room...he was in Ryan's room. As I walked closer I heard him more clearly. He spoke softly and it was clear he was drunk.
"Girlfriends suck" he slurred, "they take your heart then stomp on it like it's nothing...absolutely nothing"
I peeked through the crack of Ryan's door, Ellington was sitting next to him, silently crying. Ryan laid in his bed, sound asleep.
"Look at yourself Ellington, you're talking to a sleeping three year old" he slurred to himself, "how low have you sunk?" He mumbled before his head dipped foreword, he fell asleep sitting next to Ryan. I walked in and took his shoes off, his tear stained face broke my heart, the two most broken people I know now laid next to each other. Poor Ellington, him and Kelly dated for 4 years...that's almost as long as I knew him. I covered him with a blanket then went back to my room. I laid on my bed, thinking of what will happen now...Ellington looked so messed up, it's gonna be a while until he recovers. One thing that confused me...why not talk to Rydel, she is his best friend...well out of all of us, he is closest to her. Why Ryan? Why a sleeping baby?
*The Next Morning...*
Ryan's P.O.V
I opened my eyes to see Uncle Ratliff. He laid next to me sleeping, he looks like he was crying. I climbed over him to use the bathroom, when I came back out, someone opened the door.
"Mama!" I said running to her
"My baby boy!" She exclaimed picking me up, she looked at uncle Ratliff and made a weird funny face
"Why was Ellington sleeping with you?" She asked laughing a little
"I donno" I shrugged, "I wake up and he here"
Stormie's P.O.V
"We better let him sleep, want breakfast?" I gently tickled his belly, he started giggling and nodded.
I took him downstairs where Riker was talking to Mark.
"Morning" Mark smiled when he saw Ryan
"Papa!" He made grabby hands at Mark so I handed Ryan over
"Miss you" Ryan says resting his head on Marks shoulder
"Aww I missed you too buddy" Mark kissed his forehead
"Time for breakfast, Riker can you go wake everyone?" I asked
"Sure thang mom" he smiled then ran upstairs.
Mark and I arrived back an hour ago, I made breakfast to surprise everyone and of course to surprise Ryan. He looks happy, I'm glad I made the right choice. I noticed a green necklace he was wearing but didn't ask about it, one of the boys or Rydel probably bought it for him.
Soon, everyone came down except Ellington. After a round of hugs and kisses, we settled down for breakfast.
"Why isn't Ellington up?" I asked casually
"Wait...he slept over?" Rocky asks confused
"I found him sleeping next to the little munchkin" I explained
"He's gonna need sometime...I went to get water in the middle of the night and found him in Ryan's room. He was drunk and crying, I'm pretty sure Kelly broke up with him" Riker says slowly
"Oh my gosh, poor child" I gasped
"Yeah, let's just give him sometime" he says
"So how was aunt May?" Ross asks trying to make conversation, plus he always favor her because she gave the best presents.
"She's fine, just a minor surgery for something" I dismissed the topic then and there.
"Oh crap, gotta go! Running late" Ross shot up and ran to change. With in a few minutes, he was out the door...wonder how long until he realizes that Mark is still eating.
"DAD!" He yelled
Mark laughed then got up, "I'll finish this when I get back I guess"
"Wait! Drop me and Ryland off at the record label, we need to discuss about the tour" Riker adds, I looked at Mark.
"They didn't tell me anything about a tour" I mouthed
"I'll tell you later honey" he kissed me then left.
"I'm teaching a dance class today, gotta go too" Rydel says quickly then ran out after the boys. With that, the entire house minus a hungover Ellington left.
"See? This is why I need you" I smiled poking Ryan's nose, he giggled then finish eating his cereal. I brought some water and aspirin upstairs for Ellington, he was still asleep so I went downstairs to clean the house. Don't get me wrong, the kids did a good job keeping the house clean, I just like to tidy up a few things.
Starting with the bathroom...the boys have no aim...
