Riker's P.O.V
It's only midnight and Ryan had woke up 4 times crying from his nightmares. I don't get why he's getting them again, maybe the fevers like somehow triggering the memories. I'm not sure if he's getting better, he's still really warm to the touch. I didn't even bother covering myself with a blanket, his heat is warming me up just fine.

Ryan started stirring again so I gently patted his back until he stopped. The good thing is he's not gripping anymore or else he would probably scratch my chest.

Eventually I passed out from exhaustion then woke up again. I checked the time on my phone and the big bold number flashed across the home screen, 10:41AM

"Woah" I whispered

Ryan laid by my side sprawled out still asleep. Rocky had gotten up already, I think he had a date today. I got up to brush my teeth and do my business, when I came back out, he was still asleep. I wondered around the house, Ross had A&A, Rydel had another dance class, Ellington went home, Ryland had school. So it's just Me, Mom, Dad, and Ryan home today.

Stormie's P.O.V
I heard some movement upstairs, Riker must be up. I let him sleep late since he stayed up late taking care of Ryan. Speaking of which, I'm gonna take Ryan to the doctors today, for the fever and some usual examinations.

"Riker honey! Can you bring Ryan down?" I yelled from the stairs

"Yeah!" Riker yelled back, a few minutes later he came down with Ryan still asleep in his arms

"Do you want to go hang out with your friends or something? I'm taking him to the doctors" I said taking Ryan from him

"Nah, I'll just find something to do...maybe I can come with?" He smiled dorkishly

"You'd think the one day you have off, you would spend it with your friends but okay" I smiled back, "breakfast is on the table, I'm gonna go check his temperature"

Riker nodded and walked into the kitchen while I went to the cabinet and got the thermometer. After a few minutes the thermometer beeped,

103.2 F

"That's not good" I muttered then went to grab my stuff.

"Riker, I'm taking Ryan to the hospital. Tell your dad when he comes back" I yelled before running out. Never have one of my babies get a fever so high, something has to be wrong.

I knew I was driving way above the speed limit but this could be a matter of life and death! When I arrived at the hospital, they took Ryan and made me wait outside like usual. After 10 minutes, they call his name and I went to his room. The doctor, his name tag said Dr. Harrington greeted me at the door.

"Hi, I am Dr. Harrington, I will be taking care of your child today. Do not worry, it's not a serious fever, 103 Fahrenheit is perfectly treatable. As we speak, we are giving him the medication and he should be fine in a few days" he explained, "now we are experiencing a high volume of patients today so I must get going. He can leave as soon as he wakes up. I'm prescribing some fever medication that will boost his immune system and cool him off. If he doesn't get better then come back"

"Thank you Doctor" was all I could get off before he rushed down the hall into another room. That doctor is different, he gave me all the answers before I even asked the questions...interesting. I shrugged off the thoughts and walked into the room. A nurse stood by Ryan administering a pill. She saw me and smiled,

"You must be this little angels mother" she says shaking my hand

"Yes I am, thank you for taking care of him" I smiled back

"Oh it's nothing! He's just the most adorable little thing, and I work in the nursery wing!" She laughed slightly, "well the medication should start working soon and I will bring some lunch incase he wakes up hungry" she said quickly then walked out

"Okay then" I whispered to myself

I sat down and scanned the room, the walls are painted with flowers and cartoon characters. The window has a straight view of Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. This is probably one of the most colorful rooms in the hospital, back when my babies got sick, there were no rooms like this.

It wasn't long before Mark bursted through the door with Riker.

"How is he?" Mark asks sitting down next to me

"He's fine, they gave him some medication" I answered

"Wow this is a really awesome looking room" Riker comments looking around

"Poor munchkin..." I trailed off imagining what happened when he got sick back when he was still in the orphanage

"Storm..." Mark took my hand gently, "Stop worrying about what happened to him before and let's focus on what's happening now. He is safe with us, he can grow up happy now"

"You always know what to say, don't you" I smiled

"Well, I am the guidance councilor for 5 kids, you pick up things here and there" he chuckled
