Sharna was sitting at home when the bell rang and Sharna, thinking it was Val surprising her went to the door. "Jenna?! What are you doing here?" "Can I come in?" "Yes, of course. Are you okay?" Sharna opened the door further and she let Jenna in. Jenna walked inside and sat down on the couch. "Can I get you something?" "I would like a glass of water, please." "I will get you one." Sharna walked towards the kitchen, wondering what was going on with Jenna. For the last couple of weeks the two girls hadn't been talking too much. Sharna thought that was because of her and Val moving in together. Ever since Sharna had started dating Val during the tour one and a half year ago, Jenna had been more distant. But since the two of them moved in together, it had gotten worse. Sharna had always thought that Jenna had a slight crush on Val and that proved it to her. It wasn't like they hated each other, but they just rarely talked.

But Sharna never hated Jenna and she hoped Jenna didn't feel any hatred towards her. Sharna had her phone in her pocket when it rang. It was Val calling. "Hey babe." "Hey to you too." "Who is that?" Sharna heard Jenna ask. "It's Val calling." "Who is with you babe?" Val asked. "Jenna is with me in the room." For a couple of seconds it was silent on the other side of the line. "Are you still there?" "Yes, I'm coming over. Don't worry." Sharna wanted to respond, but Val had already hang up the phone. Sharna walked back into the living room and gave Jenna her glass of water. "What did Val want?" "Val asked if it was okay if he could come over." "Okay," Jenna said with a sad look on her face. "Hey, that doesn't mean you have to leave." "Really?!" "No, of course not. I won't just send you away." "Thank you."

"But why did you come over?" "I had something to tell you. I heard it via other people and at first I didn't want to tell you or tell anyone for that matter. But I feel like I have to, for you safety." "For my safety? What is going on?"

"I went out a couple of weeks ago and one of the girls I met there was an ex-girlfriend of Val." Sharna's face changed. "I know you find it hard to believe me, but please listen and then do with it what you want." "Okay, I listen." "The girl I met was an ex of Val and she told me what happened during their relationship. At first he was like the perfect man, he was really nice to her and he helped her with everything. But after little over a year into their relationship, he started to be less nice. He was brutal and eventually, he hit her." Sharna interrupted her. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe that. Val would never hit a girl and especially not his girlfriend. I don't know who told you this story, who of his exes, but I think they are making up that story. But do you believe that story?"

"At first I didn't, I have known Val for very long, but I don't think he would ever do that. But then she showed me pictures and slowly I started to believe in it. But like I said, at first I didn't want to tell you, but on the other hand. You have the right to know and you can chose to do with it whatever you want."

On her face Sharna could see Jenna was struggling with something and at that moment Sharna thought she was genuine at telling her the story and that she was really struggling with telling her that story. "Thank you for telling me. But at this moment I just don't believe it yet. I have known Val for so many years and I don't believe that he would ever do something like this." "Like I said, you don't have to believe me, but I did want you to know." Jenna moved closer to Sharna and gave her a hug. "That is too bad you don't believe me." "What did you say?" Before Jenna could answer the door opened again and Val walked in. "Val!" Sharna stood up from the couch and walked towards her boyfriend. He engulfed her into a hug and she put her head on his chest. Val looked over her head to Jenna and Jenna put her hand in her purse, giving Val a look.

Sharna felt Val pull away from her and he whispered in her ear: "I love you so much and I'm sorry for this." Sharna's face was shocked and she had no idea what happened to her. Val pushed her away from him, but before she was an arm length away, his fist connected to her stomach. Sharna fell towards the ground, not knowing what had just happened to her. All her breath was knocked out of her and Sharna had trouble breathing. With one hand on the ground and the other on her stomach she tried to calm herself down and tried to get her breathing back.

Sharna had no idea what just happened. Jenna had just told her a story, but she was sure that story was made up. And then Val came in and told her he loved her and that he was sorry, before he hit her. The tears formed in her eyes and Sharna stayed down. Part of her expected Jenna to do something about it, she had just told the story and Sharna had at least expected Jenna to help her to her feet and to ask what the hell Val was thinking. But when Sharna came to the realization she didn't do anything, Sharna knew something else had to be going on. And she was right.

Jenna was still sitting on the couch, her hand in her purse and enjoying the thing happening in front of her. For the last couple of months now she had been contemplating on what to about the relationship between Sharna and Val. A relationship she was sure wouldn't last. She wanted Val for herself and Sharna was the one who had to go. All the different methods she tried didn't work out, until this one. She had thought about this one for a long time and realized this was the one to eventually work out. She was going to get Val beat up Sharna.

Jenna stood up, Sharna was still on the ground trying to catch her breath, but Jenna was sure Val didn't hit her to his maximum. "Lift her to her feet," she said. Val looked at her, but she was still with her hand in her purse and there was nothing he could do. Val helped Sharna to her feet and the look on her face was something he would never forget. She was shocked, shocked by what he just did to her and shocked by what Jenna just did.

"Val hit, her in the face. And this time, don't hold back." Sharna had no idea what was going on, she heard Jenna say it, but why would Val listen to her. Val was still holding her tightly by her upper arm, but his face was away from her. He was looking at Jenna and at her purse. Slowly she saw Val turn around and his face was beyond worried, he hated himself for what he did and for what he had to do. For a minute he stood still, facing Sharna. Everything about him screamed that he shouldn't do it, but he knew the consequences of his actions. "Val?" Sharna asked. "What are you doing?"
