Campfire
Eating away at the night
Eating away at the night
A tiny flame that leaps and grows
One of hope, laughter and peace
A fire to warm the toes
And so the flames grow taller
Eating away at the night
Inviting everyone closer
Into the faint circle of light
The flames dance furiously
Warding off the encircling gloom
Eating away at the night
All darkness it will consume
When everyone turns to their beds
They might feel a little contrite
Knowing the coals still smoulder on
Eating away at the night
