(This will suck, but I'll give it a try! Most of the characters aren't mine)
Chapter One
(Jack's POV)
Our story takes place on an island named Berk. The village we live in is an old one, with lots of new buildings. Why? There's a small dragon infestation, but never mind that, thanks to Hiccup, that's all sorted.
By the way, I'm Jack. I'm sixteen winters old, and I've lived in Berk for as long as I can remember. I live here with my mother, father, and younger sister.

"Hey, Hiccup!" I yell, as I throw snowballs at the side of my friend's house. "What?" was my groggy reply. "It snowed, come out here with me!" A huge thud sounded through the window inside his room. "I'll be out in a minute," Hiccup called. His voice was muffled, and didn't sound close to getting up. I took the liberty of climbing up through his window and dropped into his room softly. He was lying under a heap of blankets and furs on the floor.
"I see you are very productive this morning," I snickered. I started to dig through the blankets to find him. I put my cold hand on the back of his neck, and he jumped, and hit me in the process. I laughed and pulled him into a sitting position. "Come on, get dressed, I'll get you breakfast." He rubbed the back of his head, giving himself a cowlick. "What, you don't want to help me get dressed?" he smiled sleepily. "Not right now."
I bounded down the stairs and into the Haddock' s kitchen. Hiccup' s house was just as familiar to me as mine was. We are childhood friends, and a year ago, when I was 15 and Hiccup was 14, Hiccup came out to me and we've been dating ever since. It's been amazing.
I opened up the pantry and got a plate out. I cooked up some sausage and brought it up to him. He was lying on his bed, fully dressed and ready. "Giddy up," I told him. He slowly rose, and I set the plate on his lap. He dug in happily and slipped me a piece, which I happily ate.
Afterwards, we went outside and played in the snow. We didn't have lessons today. We had a snowball fight, and built a snowman and snow fort. It was fun. After a couple hours, we went back to my place where I arranged some hot chocolate and snuggled under a fur.
"I'm gonna take my foot off, is that okay?" Hiccup asked. He had a prosthetic foot. I nodded into his shoulder. He leaned forward to undo the straps and kick off the metal. He leaned back, and I resumed my head position. "Are your parents coming home soon?" he asked quietly. My parents didn't like our recent development, if you catch my drift. "They shouldn't be. They are in another town with my sister, why do you ask?" "Because I just heard someone."
I sat straight up. "Jack?!" my father's voice bellowed from the kitchen. "Come on," I said as I helped him up. I grabbed his foot. He tried to fit it on, but I told him, "There isn't any time, we have to go!" My father was making his way through the house, but we were already out the door, me supporting Hiccup who hopped along quickly. We made it to his house before Father could catch us.
"I'm sorry, Hiccup, we shouldn't have gone to my house. Let me help," I said, putting his foot back on. He ran his fingers through my hair while I did so. "You have nice brown hair," he said, sorta zoned out. "You do too," I laughed. I rose to give him a kiss on the cheek, which he returned on the lips. He pulled me onto his couch with him. "I. Love. You." he said between short pecks. I returned the favour. "Love. You. More." He playfully shoved my head and said, "Nope!"
Hiccup' s parents had no problem with us unlike mine. My father thought it a disgrace, and my mom listened to him. They wouldn't ever change...
