Chapter 1- The Vision Of Hell

I woke up incautious in a dark, flaming red place. Screams of terror rang in my ear. Where am I? I thought. This place looks nothing like heaven. Aren’t I suppose to be in heaven by now? This isn’t heaven! I thought again. Suddenly, dark figures started appearing. I was in a panic of what to do.

“Who are all of you?! I don’t know you people!” I yelled. The figures stepped closer, and my heart beat increased a lot. Nobody answered me.

Another figure stepped forward, about five inches from me. It was a girl. She looked solemn. “Don’t you know? Your dead already.” She had a smirk on her face. “I’m Marsha by the way. It’s not nice to meet you, and frankly, this place would say the same to you.”

Well isn’t that just welcoming? I rolled my eyes at the thought. But then, another girl stepped forward. Her appearance didn’t make me any less frightened by Marsha. She wore a red flaming dress which gave me the thought she died during a dance, but her hair was pitch black. “I’m Jenna. You’ll be seeing much more of me. But…” Jenna paused. “Don’t get the idea that were friends. My only friend here is the devil and Marsha. Other than them…your all dead to me.”

Was I suppose to compete with these girls on being a devil? I thought. If so…I’d better try now. I rolled my eyes at Marsha, and Jenna. “I’m April. I’m not suppose to be here anyways…I died because of my boyfriend, so don’t think you guys should treat me the same. You know what? This place is meant to be for you two! Deep down inside…you two are really nice girls, but your outside colors completely match this scenery.”

I walked past them, but bumped into another figure that practically burned my skin when I touched it. “Ouch! What’s wrong with you? Why does your skin burn me?” I grabbed hold of my wrist that turned a bright shade of red. My eyes filled with hatred because of how much pain I felt. I looked up, but gasped. No. No. No. Not him, I thought. Those words kept repeating over and over.

I stepped back slowly, but the boy got caught more on my wrist. I stopped moving. I hadn’t looked at his face completely, but I knew who it was immediately. It was…Satan. He must’ve known I knew who he was because in one swift movement, he gave an evil laughter. “So…you know who I am?”

I nodded in fear, and tried to escape from his grasp. But, the more I tried…the more it burned. “Let go of me!! I’m not even suppose to be here!!” I felt tears running down my cheeks. They felt like fireworks burning on my face.

“If your not suppose to be here…why did they send you here?” Satan studied my appearance and saw I was in pain. He let go of my wrist, but it flung me to have a seat on a near by bench.

“I’m here because my boyfriend, Aaron, killed me! It wasn’t me!” I blew the hair out of my face, catching my breath.

Suddenly, a burning piece of paper popped up in front of Satan. He grabbed it, read it slowly, and nodded his head. “It says here that you committed suicide in a park last night. Is that true or not?”

“That’s not true! Why would I do that? I told you! My boyfriend killed me! One of his friends pushed me into a rope loop and he pulled the end of the rope!” I talked faster than usual.

“A rope you say? Did your head end up high in the air sending your body with it?” He studied the sheet once again.

I thought for a moment. A picture of me after Aaron pulled the rope showed up. I grasped my neck, then gulped. “Y--yes that’s true.”

Satan made a sound of disappointment. “You are clueless aren’t you? Don’t you know that anything with a rope involved or you being in a rope…being hung, is considered suicide?”

“I’m not clueless.” I looked down sadly. “But, it wasn’t me who committed suicide! It was Aaron!”

“Why are you yelling at me for? I’m not the one who sent you here am I? Figure it out, April or whoever you are. Or next thing you know…your going to be stuck a devil forever.”

So, with that Satan vanished. I looked around curiously. What am I going to do? I don’t think anybody here is kind enough to help me. I thought.

I laid back on the bench, but threw the pillow on the floor so I could lay my head on the wall. I watched as the pillow dissolved in the fire. Burn…Just burn like I’ll burn if I don’t find a way out of here. I thought.

Closing my eyes, something flung in front of me toward the wall. My eyes popped open. It was a dagger. I grabbed the dagger out of the wall, and looked around to see who threw it. Nobody in sight. As I was just about to stuff the dagger in my pocket for safety, somebody’s voice made me jump, and drop the dagger. “Hey! Aren’t you going to return that to me?” It was a girl’s voice.

“Oh sorry.” I picked up the dagger that I dropped, and handed it to the girl as she stepped forward. “Your not going to be mean to me are you? If you are, then the thought of us becoming friends will vanish.”

The girl smiled. “No! I’m not going to be mean to you! By the way, my name is Christine!” She grabbed the dagger out of my hand, and stuffed it in her pocket. “And you are?!”

“I’m April. You seem like a very happy person! Why are you in here then?” I asked.

Christine looked so happy, but then her smile dropped. “I’m a fallen angel. I was an angel before…but then I failed a mission that ruined somebody’s life, so now I’m in hell.”

“A fallen angel?” I smiled. “Maybe we can both help each other.”

Christine jumped excitedly. “That would be great!”
