Chapter 8

~Chapter 8: Time to tell to Luke~

.Emma's POV.

Okay so I spoke to RJ about Calum last night and she's making me tell Luke today what happened between us. and then I'm planning on talking to Calum.

It's 10am so I decide I should actually get out of bed and appear downstairs. and these June/July holidays seem to be going forever.

I get up and hurry to the bathroom to pee, I then brush my hair and put it in a pony tail then brushing my teeth and applying a little make up, I then get dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. I got hungry and decided to go down stairs and get some food.

"Good morning sweet heart" my mother greeted me. the thing about my parents, they were never home always working and away on business trips. they aren't that supportive of me and my brother and we aren't very close, Luke and I just stick together.

"Morning mum" I mumble search for my favourite cereal, fruit loops.

"How'd you sleep darling?" my mother asks.

"Pretty good" I say and fake a smile.

I find the cereal and get the milk and a bowl out before making myself breakfast. I took it and sat in the lounge room and turned the tv on to the morning show.

"How have you been?" my mother comes in and sits with me. I don't answer I just keep eating

"Emma, I know I haven't been around a lot lately but I'm still your mother, speak to me" she says placing a hand on my leg and looking intensely in my eyes.

I swallow my food and look up at her, she has a loving expression on her face. "I've been great" I answer followed by a smile, before taking another mouthful of food.

"That's great hunny, now listen your father and I are going to America for a couple of months, will you and Luke be alright here alone?" She asks

Of corse she's going away... again.

"Yeah we will be fine" I answer not really interested anymore.

"Good, we leave in a few days" she says standing and leaving the room.

I finish my cereal before going up to RJs room to see a sleeping RJ. I laughed at the sight of her thick brown curly hair all over the place. I walk in and sit next to her on the bed and poke her side. she squirms and turns over.

"What do you want?" she says burying her face in the pillows.

"Wake up sleepy head it's almost 11" I say attempting to roll her around. she groans and gets up.

"Is Luke awake?" she shouts to me from the her bathroom.

"Ah yeah, he has been out in the shed with Mike all morning" I say laying across RJs bed.

"Okay good I'll talk to Michael so I don't look like I'm just hanging around while you tell luke" she added while applying makeup.

.Luke's POV.

"Hey man that sounded great" Michael said to me after I finished singing a part from a new song I wrote.

"Thanks bro" I says reaching for a drink. Mike does the same. he has been alittle quiet for the past few days.

"Hey Mike?"

"Yeah dude?" he answers

"Is something wrong?"

"Why would something be wrong" he stops playing with is hair in a mirror and looks at me.

"You've been alittle quiet the past few days... what's up?" I ask

"It's nothing" he saying looking down.

"Tell me" I say walking towards him.

"It's RJ"

"What about RJ?" I say putting all my attention on Michael now, what did my cousin do? or what did he do to my cousin?!

"Well this is awkward" he says taking a step back

"Michael tell me what's going on" say getting alittle worried/angry

"Alright, alright... I um have a crush on ah RJ..." he says quietly.

Haha omg he likes my cousin. I don't care I think it's funny.. they would be pretty cute.

"Hahahah good on ya mate, go get her she's all yours" I say patting his my mates back.

"Um yeah okay?" he looks up questioning what I said.

"HEEEY LUKEEEEE!" RJ comes charging in the shed dragging Emma by her wrist.

"Speak of the devil" I say under my voice but everyone seemed to her it.

"You were talking about me?" RJ questions

"Well yeah we were just saying... um..."

Michael try's to explain but got cut off

"Aw cuties, everyone just loves me" RJ states. "anyway Michael can I talk to you for a second. Luke, Emma needs to talk to yooooooou" RJ let's go off Emma's wrist and grabs Michael's wrist and pulls him to the corner of the shed on a couch.

"Um Rightio" I say kind of shocked

"Hey bro how's the songs going?" emma asks obviously trying to avoid telling me whatever she needs to.

"Fine thanks sis, what's up?" I ask walking towards her.

"Can we sit?" She says walking towards a few chairs set out from our last 'band meeting' aka drinks and laughs.

"Yeah sure, is everything alright?" I ask getting alittle worried about my sister.

"Yeah well you know how Calum is kind of a jerk to me?" she starts

"Yes and I am sorry I'm trying to fix it, I know it's not nice and I..."

"Luke, listen" she stops me

"I know why he is awful to me" emma says playing at her nails and looking down.

"Please share"

Emma explained everything, the party, the game of truth or dare, the dare, and what he did. and to tell you the truth I was mad at him, I was shocked and angry

"Emma why didn't you tell me this before?" I asked

"Because he would of slapped me again" she said seeming scared

"I wouldn't let him, Emma we are figuring this out ASAP. I'll call him now " I say reaching for my phone in my pocket.

"Do we really have to, will you protect me? she says sounding vulnerable.

"Yes we have to and yes of corse I will" I say giving her a hug before dialling Calum's number.

Calum answers:

'Hey mate what's up'

'Hey um, can you come round sometime today?'

'Yeah mates what's wrong?'

'Just need to chat'

'Yeah okay I'll see you in about an hour?'

'Sounds good'

I hung up before I he could answer and change his mind.

I'm figuring this out, I'm making him say sorry and I'm going to make those to sort it out. I am not happy with Calum and I can't believe emma only just told me now... well this will be fun
